DVC Points Needed

I am looking to get a 2BR condo in June (somewhat flexible but would prefer 2/17/03-2/24/03) and am interested in renting points to cover my stay vs staying in a little room.

I'm not that picky about the resort, but if I had my choice it would be Wilderness Lodge. Does anyone have points for rent for a week in June at one of the Disney properties.

I did not list the specific # points needed because it varies - I figure the experts know what it takes.

Again: June ? (prefer 17-24 or something close)
and 2 BR condo. I would also (of course) need help with the reservations. Williing to negotiate the payment terms.

If interested, eMail me what your price would be.

Thanks

Hopefully we can be of some assistance, if not point wise. A one week stay during June (after the 10th) is 296 points in a 2 bedroom unit at Old Key West, 350 at Wilderness Lodge, Beach Club Villas and preferred view at Boardwalk Villas and 306 in a standard view at Boardwalk Villas. It is the same amount during all of July and the first two weeks of August. May and the first 10 days of June are a little more than 10% less. You can expect to pay about $10 per point, though you might be able to find something for less. One thing you should know is that Sunday through Thursday night are less expensive that Friday and Saturday nights, so you could plan around only staying one of those, or maybe just paying for those two nights at the resort you are staying at or at another resort. For the time you want to go at Wilderness Lodge, a 2 bedroom is 40 points on weekdays and 75 on weekends.

Honestly, if there are discounts, you might be ahead just renting. For December, you can rent a 2 bedroom at Wilderness Lodge for under $350 per night. It will be a liitle more expensive during the summer, more like $450, but you get the idea.

As far as buying points, I would suggest negotiating a small percentage down, and the rest of the money put into escrow, payable after you check in.

As far as finding points, I would suggest looking here. Not the best place to be a member (way too big), but great place to find points for sale. Good luck, let us know if you have any other questions.

Thanks Mickey.

I was looking at renting vs paying for points. I realize it all comes down to a numbers game.
