Can a non-DVC member rent points from a DVC member??

I d/l The Ultimate Disney World Savings Guide 2007 and it stated that sometimes DVC members will sell their points if they are not going to be able to use them. Some one who knows, PLEASE fill me in...Thank you

Yes, you can rent points from DVC members and stay at the DVC places. I rented points from a DVC member for my trip last october and stayed at OKW in the two bedroom villa for four nights and a studio for three. It was very easy to do. I suggest you posting in the DVC forum here at mousebuzz saying that you are interested in renting points. I rented from someone I knew and suggest you do the same or have a leagal agreement of some kind with the person you are renting from. You are eligible for the DDP too while staying on points. You pay for it at check in.

I have 244 points to spare that need to be used by Sept. 30, 2007. I have references and am asking ten dollars a point. PM me for more details.

You shoud pm babets. I am aleady booked and paid for or whould snatch that deal up. $10 a point is a great deal.

I agree...renting DVC points is the way to go! If I weren't getting Free Dining in August, I would have done it again FOR SURE. I rented at SSR in December and would DEFINITELY do it again!!!! I also did it once before a few years ago at OKW. Both times were in a Studio.

Renting points is a GREAT way to stay in a Deluxe Resort for Value/Moderate prices. Plus, you can buy the Dining Plan without having to purchase tickets! GREAT PERK!
