Points to rent

As much as it PAINS me to say this...I have points to rent. Available from add on. $10 per point. You can use them at any DVC resort or Disneyland. (Other WDW resorts have a $95 reservation free that will be added to cost.)

Will do transfers or reservations. Payment through my business merchant account (Visa/MC) or Paypal.

What's your use year?? We would be interested in renting, but we won't need the points until later in the year.

Us too, not looking to go until middle of August, 2008. Are they available for that time frame?

Member makes reservation for you based on dates and locations. Generally, because the points have expiration date, rentals are not refundable because we may not be able to re-rent or use the points so the points are lost. Insurance is available for total of $11 per point. Most of the time the per night rate works out to still be well below what you'd pay reserving through Disney and there is no hotel tax which means about another 10% in savings or so.

August use year so I've got Jul 31 but I also have some that should be ok for later. Just have to bank or juggle. Should be no problem.

We are already booked at POR 6/22- 7/1. What could we get that week and at what cost. Or could I not switch since I am booked?

You can easily switch because you would just cancel your reservation once you have things squared away with a DVC memebr. The DVC member would book another reservation for you through DVC.

I still have 190 points that need to be used before 7/31/07 for rent. (Working on $$$ for Alaskan cruise for DW.) Up to 270 points before 12/31/08 available. And a whole bunch more can be borrowed or used before 7/31/09.

This whole DVC confuses me...is it cheaper to rent points or just do a different resort?

Renting points is usually cheaper but you are working with a DVC member when you do it so there's a certain amount of trust on both sides. We have wented points several times and have had no problems.
