tips

Some tips I've picked up/heard about over the years:
1-take a washcloth into the parks, and dip them into ice or water at concession stands- it'll keep your head and neck more comfortable
2-spray deodorant on your feet in the morning-it'll keep them more comfortable and help to prevent blisters
3-bring your own pop-top water bottles with you- it costs $2-$3 per bottle in the parks
Please feel free to add your own tips.

If you stay at a resort stop by the cafe/store and get a resort mug. It will cost a little more but you can refill it for free for the rest of your stay at the resort.

Plus it makes a great reminder of your wonderful time when you get home!

(This was the case the last time I went which was before the current economic situation, I can't say if it's still in effect)

If you can

go to WDW in February or October. The prices are low, the crowds are low, and the temperatures are low.

White Glove Tip

If you are staying at one of the on-site Disney properties and you pay for your accommodations with your American Express card, you get the White Glove Treatment. Usually, you receive some free souvenirs such as a lanyard and a 'belly bag'. But, the perks do change. Visit this link for details: http://wdwig.com/amex.htm.[/url]

Buy an Ap!! If you plan to visit each of the parks once you almost pay for it!! (If you are A fl resident its less then one time at each park!!!! ) Plus you get steep discounts on the hotels!! And it gives you an excuse to visit more then once a year!!!
Oh another great tip Go left! If you have a choice in a line to go left or right go left! :)
Go to the park that does not have EE that day! (I know that right now there is now EE but Im sure they will have it return in the future)
Most of the Resort guests use the EE so that park usually gets crowded!!

My Tips:

Here are my favorite tips for newbies:

1-Plan before you go (this includes budgeting), but don't overplan
2-Bring bottled water with you and chill it over nite in your hotel's ice bucket. It will stay ice cold for a while and you'll save $$
3-Pack snacks for your kids and let them nibble through out the day. Again save the $4 it cost for a pretzel or popcorn.
4-don't shop on main street. the same stuff is available at downtown disney and you'll waste your time at the park.
5-BUY ANNUAL PASSES you will save 30% or more on rooms, 10-20% on purchases and food. It is worth it.
6-If there are 1 or 2 really popular rides you want to get on but don't feel like standing in line -- go on during dinner or the parade (there will be no line)

Get a pal Mickey but make sure he's turned on inside the zipper part, I left him on all the time and by Wed. his batteries were worn out. (you never know how old the batteries were!) I took him to the Camera shop in epcot and they replaced them right on the spot and didn't charge me for them either!!

anyways pal mickey is awesome so much info in such a little mouse!!:p I also bought a water bottle strap and was able to carry him around my shoulder without a worry!!

that's my major tip of the day here's a few minor ones

water bottle w/fan and extra batteries walmart $5, WDW $17

skippy peanutbutter squeeze (individual ones) granola bars, fruit snacks, water bottles, napkins for snacking in the parks thru out the day!

goooooooooood walking shoes and honestly foot powder works wonders, good socks too!!

good night sleep!! which doesn't take much for me to get, with that heat, I slept like a baby all week (still am)

last but not least...... ENJOY IT, you deserve it!!!:D

TTFN, Jacki:)

If you're staying somewhere with a fridge, freeze one of your bottled waters. It will slowly melt through the day and always be cold, and will keep snacks cool, too.

When days in the parks get too long and people start getting grumpy announce "we're not having fun right now" and leave the parks and take a break. Make this an understanding among everyone before leaving home.

Jacki - I have two children (DD - 5 1/2 and DS 3 1/2) ...will they fight over Pal Mickey?? I'd hate to have to buy 2...

Have you played with him much since you got back?

Thanks!
