TS6 & another storm near FL! NOOOO!!!!!

TD6 has been upgraded to TS6. I know it is slow moving. Has anyone heard where it is probably headed? We are leaving Sunday for our vacation and would really rather have hot sunny weather than a slow moving TS6 over top of us! There is another storm south of FL too. Has anyone got news on this one? Anyone with any news please post it here for all of us headed to WDW in the next few days.

I'm also watching this becasue we arrive on Monday. I would hate to start our WDW vacation meeting Franklin.

I just looked at the radar (in motion) and it shows DS6 moving north instead of toward FL. Also the one below it seems to be moving west and not north east toward FL. I don't want anyone to be in the path of a bad storm but...

BLOW them away from FL! Plus send a little Pixie dust their way.
Go Away storms!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed. We have been so lucky on our summer trips that at some point we are going to have to have a wet trip, I just don't want it to be this trip. We are packing 2 pairs of tennis shoes each just in case.

We started packing yesterday and had all these empty luggage bags and I was thinking there is no way we will fill up all these bags. Well guess what? They are almost full and I am not done packing yet. I really don't want to take any more than I have to and shoes take up so much room. I guess we will take sneakers and sandles for each of us. But I really don't want to take more than that.

I love shoes and right now I have 4 pairs I feel like I have to take. We'll see how much room I have when I get all our clothes in.

Another tip I have is mix up your clothes a little so if the airline loses a bag no one is going totally naked the rest of the trip while the rest of the family is dressed. I am mixing our clothes up so I have a few things for everyone in each suitcase.

I thought about doing that. I am such an organized person that I think it would drive me crazy with some of everyones clothes in one bag and the rest in other bags.

I am wierd that way. It is bugging me that I am having to put some of my stuff in with some of my DS stuff. I'll get over it pretty quickly though....especially at the thought of them losing a bag. My thing is that if they lose one wouldn't they lose all of them...since they are checked together I like to think they will travel neatly together.

OK, I'm in a dream world but it seems so nice here. Hee Hee.

My parents have lost a single bag several times. They went to Greece a couple of summers ago and my mom didn't have her bag for 4 days! No way I want to wear teh same clothes for 4 days.

I am also very organized and mixing up clothes drives me nuts but I don't want anyone to go w/o clothes for a couple of days. I have to pack everyone in their own suitcase and then I can start moving things around.

I did get the insurance so don't they pay you good $$ if a bag gets lost so that you can go buy what you need?

You get to worry about storms for a few days, there's always the lucky few of us who live in florida along the coast line. And kari who gets excited over any storm because working at the home depot means over time and storm pay.

Although franklin isn't a worry for any trips. There was a mention of another wave comin across the ocean, for any one going in a couple weeks, you might want to keep an eye on that storm. Since we're already on F, I'm sure they're gonna keep on rollin on out like mad till the end of the season.

I'm watching the news right now, and it looks like Franklin is going NORTH! The problem last year is we had that...front or bermuda high or something, that kept the storms from going north, and they would go accross Fl, instead...
