Car Travel Tips

For those of you who need things to do in a car while travelling you might want to check out this site.... www.bookcloseouts.com I ordered several Travel games "Fun on the Run: Travel Games and Songs, Family Fun: Games on the Go, On the Road:Fun Travel Games & Activities. And also I ordered "The Ultimate Disney Trivia Book 4" for 1.74. I was hoping to find things for our driving time to Disney and came across that site. I had never ordered anything from them so I was a little leary, but I got my order today and I'm really pleased with my books. I ordered 15 different kinds of books and with S&H my order came to a total of $42.52 which isn't bad at all. For those of you Driving in a car I thought you might want to check out that site. Oh, and I had my order in a week and a half.

Goofette, thanks for the info. I have not shopped at bookcloseouts.com recently, but I have used them in the past and I have found them to be very reliable.

If you or anyone else plans to make a purchase this month, you can use the following discount code:

$5 off purchase of $35 or more
Enter coupon code during checkout and save on already great prices at BookCloseouts.com. You must also enter the password which is the word after the "/" to get this offer.
Code: READING / AMUSEMENT - Expires: 3/31/2002

I found this on one of the bargain sites I frequent.

I'm glad you told me about the Code. I didn't know that. I was going to order some more books (I love to read), so that will help out on the cost. :)

I couldn't find it

I know we posted travel dates before but I couldn't find them. Maybe my head is still too stuffy :D

When are you all going? To those of you driving all that way - bless your hearts! I am so spoiled by only having to be in the car for a couple hours and sometimes that is plenty!

:)

Book discount

Since some of you found the last code I posted to be helpful, I thought I'd let the list know about another discount code at the same site mentioned earlier. It may be better, too, because the minimum purchase required to use the discount is $10 less than the last code, and the expiration date is later.

$5 off purchase of $25 or more
Enter coupon code during checkout and save on already great prices at BookCloseouts.com. You must also enter the password which is the word after the "/" to get this offer.
Code: ecentives / 5off25 - Expires: 4/4/2002

Happy shopping/reading!

Cinderellafifi,

I got lucky and we changed our plans. We are now flying so instead of 14 hours it will only take 2 :)

We are going April 8-15 and staying at AKL

you know .. I use to love it that we flew to WDW ..but there was one very big draw back for us when it came to flying ..we lost half a day both on the first and last day ..which meant losing a whole day at WDW :( since we drive now we have get there first thing in the morning and we leave after the last park closes .. we take a tv and vcr .. for the girls to watch ..plus of course they have thier game boys .. they can sleep in the van too. We drive straight through going down there ..but we find some place to stop for the night on the way back. It works out great getting there in the early mornings hours and its about a 14/15 hour drive for us from east texas.

Do their game boys have the gameboy camera? We've looked all over trying to find one of those, and you can't buy them anymore. I was going to look online but I had no idea where to start. Tinkerbell, we are going to be on almost the same schedule lol Driving (20 for us) and staying at the same resort on the same days. We will Have to let the girls go swimming together one evening when we get back from the parks.:)

No they dont but the girls each have one of those Izone camera's, which will save a little money this year .. I wont be getting pictures of ducks and sidewalks developed :D yep we sure need to get together. We are leaving here around noon on the 18th. The girls have TAAS testing the 16th and 17th and thier mom is bringing them down right after school on the 17th. Of course none of us will be able to sleep the night before ..we never can. We are like that commercial about the family going to WDW that cant go to sleep :)

Goofette, I didn't even know that cameras were available for Gameboys! I found a link you may be interested in:
Amazon.com
I hope it is helpful.
