Icon4 Packing is NOT fun! Tips? HELP!

I don't know why I find packing so frustrating. We are only going next week for FOUR days (leaving Thursday morning), that's it!! I am having having such a hard time. I have a little time tonight to pack & am going to be VERY busy with work and various appointments the next couple days but I don't want my clothes to get all wrinkled and gross. We are ONLY taking carry-ons, so this is just complicating my matters.

The forecast is 89-91 degrees and one day says "scattered thunderstorms." After my minor dermatology surgery two weeks ago I am not allowed to get sun on my back, so no "easy pack" tank tops or halter tops.

Any packing tips for someone who feels the need to take TOO many shoes and clothes?

Does anyone else actually "pack" this early. What are some tips to keep wrinkle-free and to get everything to fit without squishing too much? help! I am only avoiding this task by being here on DC. hehe

Re: Packing is NOT fun! Tips? HELP!

I think Dana packs about 14 years ahead of time..so 4 days..no biggie..
I know how you feel..i am a TERRIBLE packer..I always bring WAY WAY tooo much or way to little..
Here is a list of what I would pack:
Comfy T-shirts (vintage tinkerbell tee's included)
Jeans! (i am a jeans girl though..so this could mean pants)
Flippers! I can't live without them...
and of course, shoes for when it rains!

Am I totally 100% helpful here?

Fold your clothes carefully and pack a bottle of Downy Wrinkle Releaser. That stuff is amazing, a few sprays and the wrinkles fall right out.

Hmm, I wonder if they sell travel bottles of the wrinkle release?!?!? Anyone, anyone? hehe. The bottle in my laundry room is pretty dang big to be packin' in a carry-on, that's like a whole 'nother pair of shoes.

I have never heard of this stuff. Does it really work? Do you spray it on when you pack or when you unpack?

Re: Packing is NOT fun! Tips? HELP!

Downy Wrinkle Releaser is the best. I use it every day
Our closets are so small when i hang the clothes up after the dryer they get wrinkled
and i spray that on them in the morning and shake it out and wrinkles are gone
that is a definite for a trip to disney

I never heard of wrinkle releaser either. How do you use it: before or after, or both?

Re: Packing is NOT fun! Tips? HELP!

I am not sure this will help but i used to pack for everyone. so what id do is roll everything to pack instead of folding by rolling you can fit much more. this allows this to be packe din more so they do not move around and yes my DH brings more showes thn he cna possibly wear. i am allerigc to direct sun light { i gt bumpy} so I bring tanks with cute loose shirts tto tie over them it is less hot then tea shirts because it is looser but offeres coverage.

I'm here. I saw this packing emergency.... easy fix wish.

You need 5 shorts so you have variety (you never know what you will feel like wearing that day)
7 T-s or tanks
maybe a skirt or two.
flip flops
sneakers
socks (5)
under garments
bed clothes
one cool weather owfit
sweathshirt just in case
poncho if you use one
bathing suit and beach towel
Do you want me to get into bathroom items too? i can go on forever. You can never over pack.

Thank you for the intervention Dana. I am about to undertake in this big task after dinner, so I may be back in panic. Did you happen to notice I am ONLY taking carry-on? That looks like ALOT of stuff for carry-on. Ugh, I am going to try my best! I promise.
