it may be common sense to some...but i thought this tip might help peole who just hadn't thought if this!!

i live in p'cola, fl.....in the panhandle...it's not quite as hot as orlando...but pretty close. anyway, today was a HOT one!! the humidity is the real killer...makes it seem so much hotter. i was outside with my DD, and i was wearing a black tank-top...i started whinning to DH about the heat and how it's not even june yet!! he suggested i go change my shirt!! what??? i am wearing a tank-top.....yeah, well it's BLACK!!

so, my tip is~~~~ do NOT wear dark colored clothing to the park!! it will make you "absorb" the sun and heat more.

this is true!! i promise!! i came in and changed to a yellow tank-top...and i was not as hot.

so keep your wardrobe color selction in mind!!

just thought of all the DC'ers who might be going to WDW soon, and want you all to be as comfy as possible

i figured that people who lived in the northern part of the country or even in the UK might not have much experience with this. i have NEVER owned a black car (although i love black) because of this reason. it's like getting into an oven!! even if only the enterior in your car is dark it makes it alot hotter...and if it's leather and your wearing shorts!! YYYYEEEEOWWWW!! the back or your legs get fried!!LOL

The first thing we ever noticed about Florida was all the white cars. You rarely see a white car here. And black is the norm.

I'm always amazed how people can wear black - even JEANS - in the parks. But I always suppose that they're local people and use to the heat. I have a neighbour from Louisiana who always freaks out cause I don't wear gloves in the winter - but I guess it's just what you're use to.

Yes, the dark colors to make a difference. They attract the sun and there for make you feel hotter. Light weight and light colored clothing is usually reccomended in extreme temps.
