We have a 3 year old and a 6 year old. I don't really want a plain ol' umbrella stroller because I know they will want shade and such. We would also want a double stroller.... (So I don't have to push) My list of the perfect stroller could go on and on and on... Has anyone found this stroller or does anyone have a stroller that they love to bring each year??

I keep looking on the internet and I keep coming up on baby strollers. I need something the 6 year old can ride in when he's tired to.

Oh I also want storage......

I have to say that the best place to find a stroller is at Burlington Coat Factory Baby Depot. They have all of them sitting out where you can try them so you can find just what you're looking for. I prefer the side by side strollers because they have the most storage and are the easiest to manuver.

MACLAREN....hands down THE BEST stroller I've EVER owned! I have two of them...

1 - Quest Mod single in an adorable rose pink circle print (had to have that for my little girl!)
2 - Twin Traveller - this is a double stroller and it is AMAZING!!!!! Each seat holds 55 pounds...and I am sure it would hold even more (I've read on other boards that people used this stroller until their kids were like 7 &8!!! ) I have a 1 year old and a 4 1/2 year old. Although my 4 1/2 year old doesn't spend a lot of time in the stroller, it comes in handy for trips to amusement parks, zoo, MALL, and I really bought it with trips to Disney World in mind!

You can get them on ebay for a really reasonable price. Brand new the Twin Techno (previously called Twin Traveller) goes for about $379 . But CHECK EBAY...I got mine BRAND NEW for $160. It is a late 2004 model but WHO CARES! It has all the bells and whistles of the 2006 Technos! It pushes LIKE A DREAM. I had the Peg Pereggo Aria Twin (another expensive one that I paid FULL PRICE FOR!) and I had to return it three times. The quality WASN'T THERE!

You REALLY can't go wrong with a Maclaren Twin. They offer two kinds of twins:
1 - Twin Traveller or Twin Techno (new name for 2006) - this one is the pricier of the two
2 - Rally Twin - DEFINITELY more affordable, but it has a strap recline system...it works great, but if you want a regular recline, then the Rally Twin isn't for you

The Rally Twin is lighter than the Twin Traveller, but BOTH fold SO easily and are pretty compact as far as double strollers go and they PUSH LIKE A DREAM! There are two separate storage baskets, and it also comes with two separate rain covers! And the canopies are separate, too. There is even a little pocket on the back of each canopy (where I put my keys, phone, camera, etc)

If anyone has any questions, PLEASE don't hesitate to ask! I researched this for a LONG time before I made my FINAL decision!!!

I agree...MACLAREN. We bought a Volo last year for DS 5 1/2 and 55 lbs at the time. We used it again just last week, DS now 6 1/2 and 64 lbs. The stroller handled like a gem. Of course there is no canopy on my model (DS would've been too tall for such), but we stayed in the shade as much as possible. And by the end of the week he bought an umbrella from France in Epcot with his name painted on it with some other designs. He held it and made his own shade.

I'd be interested in selling our stroller if anyone is interested. PM me and we can discuss details (price, shipping). We'll never use it again. Next time we go to Disney, little DS will be 8 1/2 and way too big for a stroller. He may be pushing me in a wheel chair by then (ha ha).

I have to say I certainly think that Kim (Iluvwdw) has researched her stuff, but for me (I have a 2 & 3 y.o.) I found the side by sides very cumbersome. I agree, they seem to menuver much lighter, but I had a hard time using it in malls and stores etc...

I bought a new double stroller (one in front of the other) and I love it. It is by Joovy! I got it at Babies R Us for about $120. My oldest can sit in the back and face me or she can stand and be supported. We have taken it on vactions and we love how easily it breaks down and stores compactly. The only downfall, there is no cup holder. I hate that!

I think it is all a matter of preference, but I have to say I certainly think Kim has done her research. Oh and Dana's right, there is another stroller thread on here somewhere, do a search and see what others had to say. Good luck!

Oh, sorry. I meant the canopy for yours. If she wanted to buy yours maybe she could get a replacement canopy.

YES, I have done TONS of research on the subject! Seriously...you have no clue how long it took me to finally make a decision. I was about to get a leash for DS for my trips to the mall, if I didn't buy when I did! HAHAHA (kinda kidding, kinda not... )

Just so you all know, Maclaren's are the ONLY strollers that hold 55 pounds (and up!!). All other strollers hold from 35-45 pounds MAX. That is a HUGE selling point of Maclaren strollers. They last a LONG time. AND you can resell them and recoup some of the money you spent! Maclaren's and Peg's have the highest resale value of all the strollers on the market.

Oh wow! Where were you last year when I was looking for a stroller?? Haha! Well, my kids have pretty much outgrown strollers, but I do have a new grandbaby coming so I may have to get a new one!
