First week of June for us here in Southwest Ohio. That could be extended though since they've missed so many days from all the snow. When we lived in Florida the kids got out in the middle of May.

try going to your school corporations website and looking at the calendar.

We finish end of May - but if we get many more snow days, it'll be 1st of June.

I am planning our church VBS & decided to go with later June, just in case school has to go late because of snow. Dumb snow!

Here in Newfoundland,canada we get out June 21st and go back Sept.6th.
We are going to florida June 22...I hope the crowds aren't too bad

Here in MD most public schools go back the 3rd to 4th week in Aug and get out the 3rd week of June. Crazy political correctness....the kids are off for every holiday Christian, Jewish, Muslam and not to mention all kinds of other activities they are off for. Please don't get me wrong, all the holidays should be celebrated but most could be excused absences. Make a Winter break to cover all holidays and a Spring break to cover the holidays and then add in the excused absences. Ok, now let me step off the soap box

My DDs go to a private school and they start the Tuesday after labor day and get out the 1st week of June if there is no make up days due to snow. The principal does not believe in going back to school before Labor day.

Any who. I am hoping for a moderate crowd level with the exception of SWW events

My school is letting us out on June 15th, but my class gets out on the 7th because of graduation. Then we come back in the first week of September.

Here in Cobb County GA, the kids get out on May 25th and return to school on August 13th. I hate their calendar. I'm from Western New York originally and there we would get ot of school late June and come back after Labor Day.
Some folks here still don't send their kids back until Labor Day! And people wonder why we are so low on the lists for quality of education!

Here in TN a lot of the public schools start the 2nd week on August and get out at the end of May. My kids go to a private school that starts around August 15th and gets out around May 20th.

I would LOVE it if we had a year-round school.

Ok so which do you think is better. Early June (before the 15th) or late Aug (after the 15th)? I know it is much hotter in late Aug but are the parks easier to manage in Aug?

We get out on May 25th. We usually go the day school gets out and stay through the first weekend in June. Crowds are usually moderate and EMH's are usually very light.

Let us know how your trip to HHI goes. We were in HH 2 years ago and drove past the resort, but were not able to see it up close. I am curious about the shuttle to the beach and the beach area (sounds wonderful from the online descriptions). Have a great time
