Advice for West to East coast traveler?
We"ll be arriving Sept 22 from Seattle for a week. My kids are 10 & 3. I'm really struggling with reservations because our tummy's will be on Pacific Time. For instance I did Hoop-de-doo at 9:30pm our last night because that is 6:30 our time, but will we just be exhausted by then? What about all this be at the gate 1 to 2 hours before opening. That would be 5 am to us! Anyone dealt with this and have any advice. Thanks!

Welcome to MouseBuzz!!
I don't think you need to be at the gate 2 hours before the park opens, no more then 30 minutes is good enough. Getting to the park at open allows you to get a few attractions in before the crowds build. You can always plan a break in the afternoon to relax and rest before you head out. I don't travel between coasts but 9:30 seems late for dinner but if you take a break and are rested you should be fine.

Re: Advice for West to East coast traveler?
WElcome to mousebuzz. You won't need to be at the gate one to two hours prior to opening at the time you are traveling. If the park opens at 9am, you should try and be there for 8:30 or so. Give yourself time to get through the security section, ticket booth etc....you will be all set to go with maps and stuff by the time the rope drops at 9am.
I think 9:30 will be fine for dinner. No worries. Just make sure you have all your stuff packed up before you head there and set yourself up for express check out in the morning, so you don't have to bother with anything but getting to the airport.

Just a thought...your tummies might be accustomed to East coast dinner times by the end of your trip. I know it doesn't take mine long at all. I'm usually good to go by the next day ![]()
