safety tattoos

I saw in Parents magazine a website where you can order customized temp tattoos to put on your kids. You can put your cell phone number on them so an adult can call you if your kid gets lost. Genius! We are ordering these for our October trip.

Re: safety tattoos

Hmmmmm. I think its a good idea in a way but then I have mixed reviews on it. I think its a good idea in case the kids do get lost but then again I wouldnt want my kids name to be open displayed

Re: safety tattoos

I agree with that, I'm not comfortable having some info on the kids. but the idea is fantastic especially for young children that cant remember a lot of info. I would put the resort phone number on and your zip code.

I always used to drill in to my kids that if they get lost go straight to some one with the Disney badge on (or universal BLA BLA)

Re: safety tattoos

I think writing on the kid with a Sharpie would be cheaper.

Re: safety tattoos

Some of those are great! There are ones for peanut allergy and diabetic, etc. It seems we were talking on here a while back about what to do for kids during sports when they are not allowed to wear and ID bracelet.

This is really great for the little ones, too! Thanks for sharing.

Re: safety tattoos

I think it is a good idea to have the phone number, but not the name. From what i understand, it is never good to put your kids name on display. They forget they are wearing their name, and if someone calls out to them, they think that person knows them. I'm very overprotective.. I worry about everything.

Re: safety tattoos

These are cool I saw these advertised at my kids doctors office. For kids with allergies this could be a lifesaver.

Re: safety tattoos

idk... sure, someone might be able to call you and say, "Hey, I found your child!" But then again, what if some creep finds him and gets your phone number? Or decides to spam your cell with a bunch of telemarketer calls. I'm not sure how safe that is...

Re: safety tattoos

I had this done to the boys. but it was more of a public service announcement. They have:
"Caution: I'm an IDIOT"
tattooed on their foreheads.
