just another question?!?

I always think of these questions while doing the silliest things, washing clothes, cleaning the kitchen etc.... never when I am online reading these posts. Anyways I was wondering if I need to bring birth certificates to the airport for the kids? My neighbor told me that I need proof of age for the kids? I never knew this, has anyone ever heard of this? Thank you very much!!!

TTFN, Jacki:)

Your best bet is to check with your airline. I know Southwest does not require id for children under age 18.

We fly USAir out of Philly International and they require our children birth certificate. Our boys are (9,12,15). I guess it's better to have them and be safe.

You better take it just in case especially if you children are under 2 and still flying for free. On our last trip in May DD was 17 months and they didn't ask me for her birth certificate anywhere we went, however, when we went to WDW when she was only 7 months old (clearly not over 2 )the lady at the Southwest counter gave me a really hard time about not having her BC so I guess it really depends on who you wind up dealing with. Also keep in mind that children under 3 get into all the parks for free and also eat at all the buffets for free, now again I have never been asked for DD BC at any of the disney parks or restaurants but better safe than sorry.:D

I would, just to be on the safe side, bring an official copy of any child's birth certificate with you. You never know when you'll need it.

They asked for my son's birth certificate (since he was sitting on my lap...I guess they wanted to prove he was under 2!). But they did not ask for my brother Bryan's, since he is 16. They did ask for a photo ID, if he had one...he had his school ID and that was fine.

:D
