Boy did we save!!!!!

We brought in our luggage a collapsable rolling cooler!!! Every day we filled it with 10 -12 waters and about 6 bottled pops so we could close them back up!! We also took our lunches everyday!!!

We noticed that 2 bottles of water cost as much as our 24 bottles of water!!!!! amazing savings in itself not to mention the pop and saving on lunches!!! We also ate breakfast in our room most mornings!!! All the money we saved with hauling the cooler around let us buy more souviners and we came home with a little bit~~~ start saving for the next one!!!!:) :) :)

As for security all they really said is " Is there any alcohol in there?" No one tried to stop us at any park from bringing in the cooler!!!

We bought the cooler at Sam's club for $19.95 and year ago!!
But I have seen them all over Target, Walmart etc.......

We do the same thing every year! I hate to pay park prices for waters and sodas! And in the summer months, you need A LOT of liquids to keep hydrated!!! We NEVER got questioned about the contents of the cooler and whenever we needed a cup of ice for the soda, we would just ask one of the counter service places and they would give them to us with a smile! :D Yes, it is extra baggage to carry, but for me, it was fine; it just stayed at the bottom of the baby carriage and I didn't even know it was there!!!

This is a great tip. Thanks.

On the way from the Orlando airport to WDW, I bought a styrofoam cooler for our room. We kept milk and pop in the cooler. We didn't put bottled water in there, but thanks to your tip, we will now.

I have been doing this for 11 and a half years now. I estimate that I have saved thousands of dollars bringing in my own soda and/orwater.

MY TIP

We also did the "cooler thing"

But because everyone could bring 2 suitcases on the plane and my 3 year old only needed one, I packed the one suitcase with bags of cereal, juice boxes, plastic bowls and spoons, pop tarts, muffins ect. We at breakfst every morning in the room or we even brought the muffins and pop tarts to the food court and toasted them there. We saved BIG time.

We always take breakfast foods with us and have a quick bite in the room before heading out to the parks. We usually have a few sodas and some water in the room but tend to use the resort mug for drinks in the room.
