Mears pickup times

Just to let everyone know... up until last week Mears was running a 3-hour lead on return trips to the airport. If your flight leaves at noon, they'll want to pick you up at or before 9am.

Also, the Delta check-in counter at the Orlando's airport has been converted to mostly self-service terminals for those of you with e-tickets. Be prepared to scan a credit card or skymiles card for ID purposes (doesn't charge you). Your bags are still weighed and tagged by Delta personnel, and you have to deliver them to the Feds for bomb screening.

US Airways had a similar set-up for check-in when I went to Tampa in October. It was really quick.

About the Mears pick-up times: that's why I do not use them. This has always been the case with them because they do mass pick-up. I don't want to waste valuable WDW time sitting at the airport. When you take the shuttle to the resorts, it's the same thing. You have to wait for it to fill up and this can take a bit. I'll gladly pay for a towncar.
