What's the best guidebook to take????

Hi!!! I own a 2004 Passporter, a 2004 Mini Mickey and several others. Obviously I can't , and don't want to, take all of them with me.....which one is the best to actually carry thru the parks???

Let me know!! Thanks!

I love birnbaums and the Unofficial guide, but I really think Passporter would be the best to carry thru the parks. It even has an elastic on the cover to wrap around it, and all those pockets for your PS information.

I think the Unofficial Guide is the best guide book around. I would take that one.

I agree that the Unofficial Guide is a good book...however, IMO it is just so dang thick that it would be harder to carry around.

The Passporter is great. And it has pages in the back for notes and such for your trip reports.

One thing I've noticed is that although you should definately bring the guidebooks with you on the trip to read at the hotel, it's not something you necessarily need at the parks. It's probably best to peruse them at the hotel room the night before you head out to any of the parks, checking off the ones you want to go to and the places you want to eat. This plan worked well for us during our trips. One of us looks through the books and reads off to the other, who checks it off on the park map itself. That way our itinerary can fit in our pocket for easy reference. If you take the book, it's one more thing to lug around, and for some reason when I've done this, there's been too much going on all around me to even open up the book once I'm in the park.
I've mostly relied on Birnbaums over the years. During the cruise, we used the Passporter Guide, which was a great way to get prepared for the trip before we went on it, but barely looked at during the trip.
Seems like Birnbaum's and Passporters are the best way to go.

I have the Unofficial guide, and am planning on taking the pages out of the back and following the Touring plans that I can tear out of the back. Even though I am going in February!!!! If i don't need to follow them I will know when I get there.

I have my entire trip planned, do ya think i should get passporter?

I love the Unofficial Guide and Birnbaums, but I personally think Passporter is the best to bring with you on your trip! I don't think you will use it much in the parks, but I kept it with me in my diaper bag. I jotted down things I wanted to remember, and the pockets were GREAT to hold my itinerary, my PS's, my tickets, receipts and any other loose papers you want to carry! It has a handy rubber band that keeps the book closed, so that your time charts and park maps won't get loose in your bag. Good luck! ;)

birnbaum's in an excellent book. it gives you a great amount of detail on the rides, shows, restaurants, and overall, everything that you need to know about wdw. it gives you lots of ideas on things to do while you're down there. i highly recommend birnbaum's. they also have a book for kids as well.

Exactly. I used to take the guidebooks to the park with me but never pulled them out. Now I use them at the hotel and just carry an itinerary with PS numbers, etc. with me. I've never used the Passporter but if you want to carry a guide to the park, it sounds like that is the way to go.

I posted this in another thread too but. I think that Passporter and DC would be the best combo. Passporter has all your reading and maps. DC gives you the up to the minute information.
