Will be leaving next Friday 3/12 for WDW. Will traveling from WV through Charlotte and Columbia, SC then down to I95. Planning on staying aroung St. George or Walterboro, SC. Have not driven to WDW in years and am looking for a nice but cheap hotel on the way. Does anyone have a suggestion.

Actually we are stopping and spending the night in Columbia on the way home on 3/19.

We are going to go to the River Banks Zoo on Saturday.

We decided to go past Columbia on the way down because we are leaving earlier than planned. I talked my Dw into taking a day off from work, she is a teacher. Suprisingly she agreed to do that. This is woman who had to be taken to the hospital from work when our 2 sons were born.

there is a comfort inn in Walterboro, SC. I like these ..most hotels that belong to ChoiceHotels are almost always clean and not too high priced ..we have a room reserved in Ocala at a Comfort Inn for Sunday :)

Okay... here is a helpful site to those of you travelling through the Palmetto State. It is a great resource for hotels, motels and Holiday Inns... ;) You can click on the town you wish to stop in and it will list all of the places in that town. Click on the Custom Search and you can search by hotel availability. It also has Bed & Breakfasts, beach resorts and what-nots....

Good luck and email me if I can drop by and say hello at the zoo. In fact, I may have some passes laying around at home... let me look...
