Icon14 Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa

I posted this in the WDW Resort forum when asked to do so and thought other may be interested here:
Ok ... Here goes an account of SSRS. Spent five nights beginning on Sunday. Was able to check in early (1:30) and get settled. Check-in took a little bit longer then expected as only one station was open at the Carriage House. Second person came on and took us and off we went. There are currently two buildings available and they are both located on the lake at Congress Park. It looks like a few more are ready to open shortly in Congress Park. There is construction all around the Carriage House and down to Congress Park. Also, new construction is already started on the newer sections out near the main road to Buena Vista Boulevard.
The two bedroom we reserved was unbelievable. We had always stayed in a Fort Wilderness Home until joining the DVC and buying into SSRS. The layout is similar to other DVC Home away from Home sites. Pictures do no justice. The master bedroom is great. Check out the sofa bed located in the one, two , and three bedroom. Queen size and very confortable. ALmost like sleeping on a regular bed. Problems were few considering the place just opened on May 27th. Any problems we had we called Housekeeping or Maintanence and they were there within 10-15 minutes with a solution. This included a late night call.
The pool is great and my kids made a run to it first thing (we are talking 16, 16, 22, and a friend 20) which they enjoyed and went back to later in the week. My wife and I enjoyed the hot tub later in the week at 10:30 at night (the one outside the spa is open 24 hours and the quite pool and hot tub there are open 24 hours) .
My one son made a run to the Artist Palette for breakfast on his skateboard (my kids skateboard all the time and not one person complained). He works in the food business and said the food was excellent.
Transportation is excellent with buses running every 15 minutes and taking you to the front door of all parks and water parks. There is a phone at the bus stop and the employees at the Carriage House said to use the phone to call Transportation if you do not see a bus in 20 minutes. The boat to Downtown Disney runs every 30 minutes. Also, if you like to walk check out the walkway that connects SSRS and Downtown Disney West. It runs along the west edge of SSRS and the Buena Vista Golf Course and leads to the West Side. Walking time from Congress Park is about ten minutes.
Overall - B+ ..... With heading toward an A when the construction slows. Also, if you get a chance check out the 3 bedroom, 4 bath. My kids want to live there all year around. SSRS will be absolutely beautiful in about a year when construction dies down. I would say the Grand Floridian will be second rate in comparison when it comes to accomidations and overall landscaping beauty when Saratoga Springs is complete.
