ok guys, here's my cleveland trip report. there isn't much to report though but i wanted to let you guys know what we did.

day 1: july 10
saturday was beautiful. the sun was shining and it wasn't that humid out. we woke up around 8 am to get ready. we left around 9:30 to go to the auto shop. rob's been having trouble with his AC lately. after that was taken cared of, on the road we went. the drive to cleveland runs roughly about 8 hours, that usually depends on weather and how many stops we make along the way. from where we are in jersey, it'll take about an hour to get out of jersey to go to pennsylvania and travel on route 80 for most of the trip. we had snacks with us, of course, to munch on along the way and cd's with us as well. we only made two stops in PA, both for bathroom breaks of course.
we got to ohio just after 5 pm. we had to make another bathroom break. so we pulled into the first rest area we came across. unfortunately, the bathrooms were closed!! i don't know who's bright idea it was to close the rest area's bathrooms. we made it to the nearest gas station after we left the rest area and got to use the bathrooms.
once in ohio, it takes about an hour or so to get to cleveland. cleveland is so close to, i think, lake erie. once we got to cleveland, we got to rob's friend dan's house in about 10 minutes. he lives right off route 71 in ohio.
we stayed at dan's house for about 20 minutes when we went to the supermarket called tops. we picked up a few things to go to dan's friend shawn's house for a barbeque. we had fun at the barbeque, just three couples spending time together. we were there until 2:30 AM.

day 2: july 11
we went to the south park mall, no not the show , so rob and dan can get their measurements taken cared of for their tuxes. dan's wife, tina, and i went browsing through a couple of stores to kill some time. i saw this beautiful snow globe/jewelry box in the disney store that was on sale for $29.99!!!!!!! i wanted it so bad but i have no place to put it.
anyway, we met up with the guys afterwords and went looking in jewelry stores for my wedding band. we only went in two of them. i forget one name, i think it was called alberts, but the other one was kay jewelers. i was really disappointed with the selections both stores had to offer. the rings were either too big or too small and there wasn't much to choose from. the selection wasn't vast at all.
we had lunch in the food court and left to go to a movie theater. the south park mall didn't have a theater. dan and tina wanted to see "shrek 2". so we went to one theater but they didn't have it. luckily, another theater had it. the next showing was at 5 pm. it was 4 at the time. so we went to their mall and just browsed around to kill some time.
on a side note, i'm not into going to malls to browse around. i get really really bored very fast. so, you can imagine how thrilled i was to just walk around the mall hoping it was close to 5 to see the movie. can you believe that this jersey girl doesn't like to hang out at the mall? tina wanted to do some shopping in bath and body works but i didn't want to go. the smell of the store would've given me a migraine. also, i'm not into shopping at the mall either. can you believe this jersey girl doesn't like to shop at the mall either?? funny, huh? you should've seen the look on dan's face when i told him i don't care for the mall and shopping. i was waiting for him to get on his knee and propose to me! his wife loves going to the mall and shop.
anyway, it was time to see the movie. we went to see the movie and had a blast. after the movie, we went back to the house to freshen up to go have dinner at this nice italian restaurant called buca. there's more to it but i forget the rest. after dinner, we went to blockbuster and rented "bad santa". that is a hysterical movie!!!! just don't watch it with the little ones. the language in that movie is mind blowing. after the movie, i went to bed. rob and dan stayed up a while after i went to bed.

day 3: july 12
tina went to work in the morning. in the afternoon, dan, rob and i went to lunch at a pizza place called dina's. the food was good. after lunch, we went back to dan's house to charge up the AC. we left his house around 3 o'clock. we didn't get home until 12:45. once we hit jersey, we drove through lots of rain. we did get home safe and sound though.

i told you it wasn't much of a trip report. i just wanted to let you guys know how our trip was.

So you didn't get to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum??? (Great TR,BTW)

we went to the rock and roll hall of fame last september. that was lots of fun. i wanted to go the first time we went to cleveland but we did so much that we had no time for it. so when it came to going out there for dan and tina's wedding, we picked a day, actually the day before the wedding, to go to the rock and roll hall of fame. the only bummer about the hall of fame is that no cameras at all are allowed. you should see the stuff they have there!! amazing!! at the time, they had two floors dedicated to U2. awesome stuff!!

Tragic -

I am not one for Mall shopping myself. Yes, another Jersey girl who doens't like the mall. I much prefer Target, Old Navy and stuff like that. Anywhere that has shoes usually...lol Thansk for the Clevland trip report. It's fun to have time for friends. If you and Rob are still looking for wedding bands, you have to go to Philly and hit the shops on South Street.
