Our trip was from Aug 30 - Sept 6. W stayed at the poly. The trip started off great.

Monday we got to poly at 12:00pm , our room wasn?t ready so we went to MK we had PS for lunch at the Castle, lunch was great. They forgot to give my girlfriend her Cesar salad so the waiter gave her two champagne glasses (we looked in the store, on the bottom of the castle they were selling them for $15 dollars a piece, good thing we left him a big tip). Then we hit up a couple of rides, Pirates and Haunted house. Then went back to poly around 4:00, our room was ready. That night went to Down Town Dis, ate at Fulton Fish House, the food was good. Got a lot of gift shopping out of the way.

Tuesday slept in a little, ate at Kona Café , had Tonga Toast. Got to Animal Kingdom at 12:00 rented pal Mickey. AK until 4:00 then went to check out AKL it was very nice, the next time we are going to stayed their a couple of days. Tuesday night went back to Poly went tin pool then to MK for a couple of hours , watched Wishes.

Wednesday
Woke up very early ate in room cereal that we brought. Got to Epcot 8:45 . Had Segway tour 9:30 ? 11:30 .It was great I defiantly recommend it. Your in a small group only 6 people at a time. PS at 4:00 for Tepanyaki restaurant in Japan, went on rides and toured countries. 8:00 had PS for Rose and Crown, got great seats to see show, also about 15 feet away was the Olympic swim team, they would not come over and take pictures I was pissed, (they said they wanted to be normal, that was the excuse for not taking pictures, if they wanted to be normal why did they have to be separated from everyone and have their own little area, I didn?t see any normal people over their, so how is that being normal) plus only myself and another table with a family noticed them and the two children were swimmers and wanted to get pictures so bad.

Thursday (The big day)
Went to Castle for Princess breakfast, it was very nice a lot of interaction with characters. Food was good. Went on some rides and stores. Then had Couples massage at GF , then went to afternoon tea at GF, it was OK. Went back to Poly rented motor boats, then went to pool.
I told my girlfriend that we had to be on the dock at the poly at 7:55 to watch the water parade. But what was waiting fro us was the Grand One Yacht, that I rented for the hour. It was awesome , three bedrooms, two full baths with showers, 40 feet long, holds 400 gallons of gas, had it own weather radar, kitchen , living room, plus a bunch more stuff. I also rented a butler she served us appetizers, champagne, dinner and desert. Then we went on the outside of the boat to watch Wishes we had a great spot in the lagoon. Then once the fireworks ended I got down on one knee and proposed, I also dropped the ring and it was about 4 inches away of falling into the lagoon. But everything worked out Great. It was a nice night on the yacht and a once in a life time experience.

Friday
Went to MGM all day. Got picked to play a part in the water seen on backstage ride. Ate at Sci-Fi it was good
Friday night went to MK. Went on a bunch of rides and shopping. Watched the wishes fireworks from behind the castle , it was great you were right in the middle of the show, I would defiantly recommend it. You watched it with a fireworks crew and a handful of guests.
Went back to poly and loaded up on snacks .

Saturday
Parks closed. Restaurants and stores only open until 8:00 pm at Poly.
A lot of cast members stayed on property. Entertainment in lobby, character and a people from animal kingdom.

Sunday
Parks closed. Restaurants and stores opened up at 4:30 pm at poly. Entertainment in lobby, character and a people from animal kingdom.

Monday (last day)
Woke up early had Tonga Toast again. Went to MK open up at 10:00, got there around 9:30 went on a few rides, got soaked it was raining very hard. Park was very empty got picture with my fiancé and about 10 characters in on photo at Goofys Jamboree. Left park at 11:00 . Flight delayed until 4:20 . went back to Poly, left for airport around 1:20 . Got home safe and sound around 7:30.
It was a good trip, it would have been great it wasn?t for Francis. A few PS were cancelled because of the storm. We did get reimbursed for the days we weren?t able to go to the parks. Now I wont to get reimbursed for the room, because I was staying at a deluxe resort for some of it amenities were you cant get at most resorts and I wasn?t able to use them for a few days. So just like getting reimbursed for the park ticket, I believe we should get partial remenbursment for the room or a great rate for the next time.

Welcome home. Sorry the swim team shunned people. That's terrible....especially for the kids who were swimmers. Trip sounded great except for the hurricane part. Congrats on your proposal and upcoming wedding. Thanks for sharing the report.

I am sorry you feel this way. I guess I see the other side. My uncle was a pro football player and we have had MANY meals ruined by 'just one quick picture, PLEASE!" After one picture comes another, and another, and another as word spreads through the restaurant. My uncle was paid to be a football player, that doesn't mean he has/had to sign autographs every other minute. Don't get me wrong, he signed his share of autographs, however, sometimes he just wanted to be a normal guy out to dinner or on vacation with friends or family.

Just wanted to share congrats to gymboy

My fiance proposed to me last november, unfortunately not in WDW!!

However, we did contemplate wedding at WDW as we already had trip booked. Prob was a lot of family wanted to come and it was too late for them to book! Never mind doin it in sT. Lucia instead!

Although, I have my eye on WDW for a renewal of vows maybe!!!

Good luck to all plannin on gettin married at WDW or any of the other Disney resorts. Hope IVAN doesn't spoil it for anyone!
