Disney Paris

What have the French done to this once great park?

I have just returned from Disney Paris and believe me I don't intend going again. The rides have grafitti all over them, the on site hotels have been run down, the staff where terrible, not a smile or hello, they did not involve themselves in the rides or take any notice of the guests. All in all it was lousey.
The first night we arrived they had managed to double book probably half the rooms in the hotel (Santa Fe) we where taken by taxi to a hotel off site about 12 miles away which meant we did not get into the park that night. We managed to get 1 breakfast from them the whole time we where there when we should have had 3. The tills in the restaurants did not work and we waited 2 hours one night just for 1 course and our cheque.
Disney need to send someone over there asap.
The queues where terrible fastpass return was about 4-5 hours away. The Europeans where rude and obnoxious, they pushed the kids out of the way and where generally the worst behaved adults I have ever seen.
Give me WDW anyday, the Americans are wonderful in the parks, the CMs are friendly and get involved. Disney please take this park back of the French.

Liz

Wow, how strange! We were there last summer, and didn't run into any of this. The parks were clean and appeared to be in great shape. We didn't stay on-site, so I can't comment on the resorts, we stayed in Paris, and took the train out. Everything seemed really nice, and the CM were ok, but not up to WDW standards. Wow, a lot can change in a year.

I know that WDW held back on repairing some things right after 9/11, but they have taken care of all of them since the first of the year. Could be DLP is doing the same thing, but forgot to start fixing.

Sorry you had such a bad trip!

I'm sorry it was such an awful trip for you. I don't know very much about any of the other parks (only wdw) but hopefully Disney will take care of the situation. If I were you, I would write a letter to the Disney Company letting them know how disappointed you were. I think Disney is usually pretty good about trying to make things right. Maybe if you let them know how displeased you were they may try to do something to make ammends. It's worth a try.

Thanks Goofette, I will give that a try and see what happens. It was just so good to have a forum where I could get it all off my chest.
