Birthdays in WDW are great!!!

What a day at Epcot!!! I know to those of you who make PS's 90 days in advance that this might seem the height of heresy, but I only made a PS last night at Goofy's Character breakfast!!! I got the time I wanted,I guess because it is slow this time of year. Anyway, the food was great, and after I finished, the characters(Minnie,Goofy and Chip & Dale) came over. Goofy saw my button and wrote on the paper 21? I said you are right!!!(Ha Ha). My waiter asked me what my name was,and came out with a cupcake and a balloon signed by the characters and had the whole restaurant sing happy birthday. He said I was 18!!!!! More to come. Have to get off the computer now.

Re: Birthdays in WDW are great!!!

We went for CNR's "V0" birthday and it was pure magic. It was like we both were little kids again @ her "V" birthday party.

What a nice thing they did. Nothing can be better than spending your special day at WDW. I am so glad they pulled out all the stops for you and made it even more special. Asking me if I was 21 would have done it for me..lolol

Re: Birthdays in WDW are great!!!

After breakfast,I went to MGM to see if there were any more Guest of Honor badges. They were totally sold out at MGM,and they said they were totally sold out all over WDW. The CM said they were zeroed at the warehouse, which meant that the warehouse didn't even have any to send.(Sorry,Tom,I will try again next week when I go again!!). I then took the launch over to Epcot. I got a birthday button from the security guard that said Happy birthday in all the languages of the WS. More tomorrow. I'm really tired!!!

Re: Birthdays in WDW are great!!!

I got into Epcot just after noon and started working my way around the WS,starting in the UK looking at all the 100 dollar tea pots I was never going to buy. I went to the Canadian film, which after 22 years is starting to get a bit familiar!! I arrived at the WS plaza about 15 minutes before the character caravan arrived so I hung around for that. After that,I went to the Mexican pavilion. I love that ride!!! Of course,I went next to Norway. I like that one too. I usually skip the China pavilion if I'm not with my mother or I don't want any egg rolls. I was enjoying looking at the food booths from the different countries. Alas,no chocolate seminars!!! (:. I finally got around to The American Adventure a bit too late for the 3:30 performance of The Voices of Liberty,so I waited until they were finished and then went in and waited for the 4:15 one. Some of the singers were still talking to people and one of them noticed my birthday button. He came up to me and thanked me for spending my birthday at Epcot and asked my name. At the 4:15 performance, they sang Happy birthday to me!!! That was the highlight of my trip!!! After that I went to get on line for The Commodores. They were fantastic!!! I recongized all the songs they did. A ver nice and pleasant surprise awaited me after the show. I ran into JOANNE and her husband Joe and their daughter Leslie!! They were down at Disney on a surprise trip. Very nice seeing them again. I then continued around WS,stopped in France to get a squirt of my favorite perfume(Shalimar) and exited the international Gateway. I had a burger at Beaches and Cream(still the best burger in Disney),got my car from valet parking and drove home. Yesterday was one of the best day trips to Disney i have ever had. I can't wait to go back next week!!!

What a magical birthday for you Alma. All that special attention from the CM had to be awesome! That is so cool that you ran into Joann and family. So glad you all got to meet up. Thanks for sharing your day.
