PrincessJill's 1-Day TR - PC & MK
I wasn't gonna write a TR, since I was only there one day. But I stayed in Pop Century and I got to do the Stitch ride... so I figured it might be worth telling. ;)
Me, my parents, and my brother Tim (also known by his DC alias "Teebo") checked into PC Wednesday night. We were in the 70's building. The theming is amazing...it has the huge figures like the All-Stars, and they all come from different decades. They had a Big Wheel bike and an old-fashioned Mickey phone in ours... they had a laptop in the 90's, a Rubix (sp?) Cube in the 80's, a yo-yo in the 60's I think... and our building had 2 Twister boards built into the pavement! With a spinner!! I saw a couple different families playing – too cute. All the buildings seem to be really close to the central building with the lobby & food court & bus stops and all that. The food court was really good, in my opinion – pretty much like the All-Star places with the different areas you can go to. We only ate breakfast and dinner, but they had a good variety for each. They even had Chinese food for dinner and breakfast pizzas for breakfast! Exciting stuff. Anyways... finally... we moved on to the parks. We got in at 8 on Thursday morning for EMH at the Magic Kingdom. There were a lot of people waiting, but once everyone was let in it, it was fine. We walked right on to Philharmagic. My parents and Tim had never been it and they all loved it. Even my dad, who's not really a cutesy-show guy. At all. We all went back up to City Hall on Main Street to get Tim a birthday button, and then my parents left for the Wine & Food Festival at Epcot. It got more and more crowded as the day went on, but Tim and I still got to do pretty much everything we wanted. We did all 3 mountains – Splash once, Space twice, and Thunder I think 4 times (in the back every time... if you like TM you must try the back! woohoo!!). We had the fastpass system worked out between the three, lol. And one of the trips on Thunder, the CM gave Tim another pass to go back through the fastpass line, since it was his birthday. And lucky me, it was good for a guest too. We hit most of the classics... Haunted Mansion, Jungle Cruise, Tiki Birds, Country Bears, and Pirates (which had a 40 min line! And I forgot which line was shorter, so I guessed and of course ended up in the longer one...). Fantasyland was packed the whole day so we missed out on those. But we did get to go on Carousel of Progress, which was open! I haven't seen it open in so long, and I love that ride! I sang the song every time it came on. We got to do the new Stitch ride too. We both thought it was "eh"... it was a cute ride, and I'm glad I got to see it, but they didn't do as much as they could have. I think it would have been much better if they'd stripped the ride from the inside out and started over completely, not just kept the EXACT same Alien Encounter set up. I'm sure there was a reason Disney didn't, but I just think it would have been a lot better that way. I'll post more about that in the Stitch thread... anyways, my parents came back to the MK later that night and we all watched Wishes together. We ended up watching through a tree... but it was still great! We walked out towards the buses in the mob of people and found out that the line for the PC bus was stacked up down the street! PC is number 18... our place in line was by number 14, and the line was still miles long behind us. Some people were getting really rude about it – like yelling at people passing by to stop cutting, when they weren't even headed for the PC bus – but most people were really nice and patient about the whole thing. It didn't take us as long in line as we thought – I'd say half an hour, maybe 45 minutes. They had a CM on a radio calling in buses, so it went fast. Back to the hotel for some dinner and then to sleep. Well, that's my TR! No problems the whole time, besides fighting the crowds all day (which I wasn't really expecting), but oh well. It's Disney. The hotel was great, the day in the MK was a blast… now I'm just trying to get everybody together for our next trip!! I'll post some pics in a week when I get home to use the scanner – TR's are more fun with pics. ![]()

I am really glad to hear you had a good time. I think it is great that you had the chance to hang out with your brother (TEEBO) and celebrate his b day at the same time. Thanks for the info on Pop Century...I was realy curious about how it was. It was very interesting to read, even though it was the length of a chapter from Les Miserables or War and Peace...lol...just messing with you. I guess you are just a real disney freak...like the rest of us...and who pays attention to details! Once again, I am happy to hear all went well...besides those big crowds!

Glad you did a TR because that was a great one!!! Sorry to hear about the minor bus problem, but that is why Disney always has those busses sitting on the side waiting for the lines to pile up.
OK I have to ask which side is the shorter line on Space Mountain??? I have heard this before but always forget.

Re: PrincessJill's 1-Day TR - PC & MK
SM -I thought the lines were the same, but one track is slightly longer during the ride.
The Matterhorn is like that also. Dne
