Four in the party Me(i'm now forty YEA) My DD 15-My DD 24- MY sister who's like my DD 26.
Everything went fine first thing in the morning. We landed in Orlando around 10:00 Am and rented a car from L & M auto rental. After picking up our tickets at the Shades of green we were ready to check in at the GF . We were upgraded from a standerd garden view to the sugar loaf concierge . This was one of my many presents from Disney for my birthday. We had the Alice in wonderland theming. The rooms are amazing, the coloring was perfect and the size was wonderful.(on a side note) I loved having the concierge for free but don't think it would have been worth the money for the services. Now I hear the concierge at the main building was wonderful, but thats a lot of money. We made it to our first park around 2:00 MGM, we chose this park thinking it may be the least crowed. I picked up a birthday pin, they were out of MGM pins but gave me a Magic Kingdom pin instead. The crowds we large but not insane. after fastpassing the RR we got in line for the TOT The wait was only about ten minutes. You just have to love that special feeling when you get on that first ride at WDW. After that we went to lunch at 50' prime time. This was my second time eating here and the first time for my sister, she loved it. The food is simple but very tasty, and the theming is fun. I recieved my first bday cupcake and everyone sang happy birthday to me We did the RR and muppets. Walked around and did the TOT one more time. Decided at this point we were just to tired to go on and went back to lap up the luxury of our room and watch the fireworks from the docks.I'll Try to find the time to do the second day today. I hope every one enjoys and forgive my bad spelling. Tina

Re: Birthday trip Nov 3 through 8
Day two
Woke up early for 1900 park fair, the food was not as good as we rembered. This is something we always do but I think were going to try something new next time. On the good side everyone sang happy birthday to me and I recieved a bday cup cake .Off to Epcot we went the crowds were not bad at all. We went to MS first(I know some people don't care much for this ride but I love it). Then honey I shrank the kids, no how many times I do these 3D shows they allways amaze me. Then TT. After this we started to eat around the world( and drink). We usually start with a margertta at Mexco YUM . We never quite make it all the way around to much drinking. So we stopped around Italy. Back to the rides to sober up. Then back to start again(this time no drinking). If you've never done this, you don't know what you're missing. My favirote memory would have to be my DD 24,accentally shot wine through her noise in Japan, you have to understand this is my prissy child it was good to see her human. We were a bit burnt out on Epcot and decided to hope over to MK. The only thing I would have to complain about is it seemed almost everytime we hoped on the Monorail it seemed to take forever. They had us stopped at the Contemporary for 15 min. So now were finally in MK Off to Space Mountain, then HM. We did a few more things then headed back to Epcot for Dinner at Rose & Crown. Since is happend to be my birthday we got the most amazing seat for the fireworks and the food was wonderful.Tina

Re: Birthday trip Nov 3 through 8
Day Three Friday
Today the MK Ok so I"ve been waiting for this day all week and yes today is really my birthday .We start the day riding Dumbo (my first time) and fastpassing Winnie the pooh .Now were off to have breakfast at the Castle I've been looking forward to this the whole year. I love there food and they have yet to let me down and yes I did get my birthday cup cake. I had all the princess's sign my bday card, I think my children were ready for my birthday to end about this time Whats a little enbarrassment considering everthing our children put use though when there teenagers. Yes I'm forty but today I'm having a happy mid life moment . Twice while we were there capitan Hook chased Pan around the Balancy outside the Castle. After that wonderful Breakfast we were off to do as much as possible. Did I say the park was packed we did everything we wanted but found using the fast pass system all the time makes for a lot of walking, we always go in Nov and have never seen the crowds this large. After three days of dodging strollers and children we decided to make an early day of it ,so off to Chef Mickeys. Now I like the food here and the Charcters are wonderful. Weve been here about six times, now is it just me are the wait staff all snobs. I've never had a good experance with any of the people working here, here's your fork what do you want to drink and there's the food. Ok I've had my say . After that home to the GF, this will be our last night here. Were getting up befor the rooster crows so we can check into the AKL and do the early morning Safara. I forgot my favorite moment of the day, We took a break in front of Splash Mountain to have some popcorn. We had the birds eating out of my sister's hands(now thats a magical moment).Tina

Sounds fun. I can't wait to read the rest.
I too will be celebrating the BIG 4-0 at Disney. I will be there 2 days before and 1 day after, in addition to the actual day. I didn't think about wearing the b-day pin all 4 days, but I will be doing just that now. I did, however, think of the b-day card idea and bought a couple of really cool Disney cards. Thanks for the great trip report.

Day four
We were switching resorts this morning. We decided to try the AKL concierge, the children wanted to do the early morning safara. You can only do this if you're staying concierge.Well first of all it was way to early to be getting up after being in the parks for three days. We had to be at the AKL by 6:00 am(everyone was so cranky). We manged to check in without any deaths. The children sleep in the lobby till it was time to go. Off we went, the excitement was a bit dampened due to the early morning resort change. If you ask the kids today if they enjoyed it I think they would say yes . If I had to do this over again I don't think I'd change resorts the same morning . I was hoping our room would be ready when we got there(wishful thinking). Yes the early morning safara was very fun, I felt the normal ride was just as good. Would I recommend this to other people? No I felt it was to much money, if you did'nt have to stay at the concierge then yes it would have been. By the time you shell out the extra for the room and pay $50.00 a person The food after the safara was very good. On my take about the concierge, was this worth the money? I think the perk made the trip a little more special . I think everyone should try this at least once. The difference between the two resorts was the level of the food. At the GF becouse the sugar loaf is a grade below the main there was no alcoholic drinks. If you're going to do this you might as well go all the way and stay at the main at the GF. Now the food offering at the AKL was wonderful, everthing was perfect. The staff was wonderful. We did talk to the staff and they did say the could not get PS just becouse they were concierge, they have the same screen as the whole system(no perk there).Off to the Animal Kingdom park after the safara. We went strait to Dinosaur, this would have to be one of my favorite rides(I still scream no matter how many times I ride) .Did I mention today was my birthday and I just had to have a pin . Then a Bugs life. After that we took off to park hop, off to MGM. I did have dinner PS for Chefs De France but was told to cancel becouse my children had my bday suprise set for me . So spent the afternoon in MGM boy was it packed. Everyone was so tired from the morning it was hard to get into the swing of things. Rode the large rides again and had a late lunch at Mama Melrose. The food was very good and priced well. Everyone was so tirerd we deciced to see if our room was ready. Off to the AKL. The feeling of entering the room knowing the animals were right outside our balcony was enchanting . The room seemed a bit small next to the GF. I did enjoy the AKL but think small children would find it more entertaining. I liked the GF more in the long run. We decided to spend the rest of the evening at the resort till it was time to head out to my bday suprise. Something was up becouse one of the children was trying to keep me busy when someone knocked at the door(so I went along) . Next thing there's a Zebra cake with my name on it . This of course made me cry. Then I found out someone from the park sent it, who I'll never know. The chef made it himself . So I cried again, I'm almost in tears as I write this. Ok a nuff of the mushy stuff. So we off to the big suprise. The kids decide to pretend there lost and are runing late to add to the suspense. Then they really do get lost( I had no idea where we were going). We show up at Hoop Dee Doo Revue . I did enjoy the show. This was my first time at one of Disneys musical dinners.I hope this wasen't to long and everone enjoyed it. Tina

Re: Birthday trip Nov 3 through 8
Day five last day
Waking up and having coffee with the savana view was very nice . The kids talked me into going to Islands of adventure on my last day . But this was there vacation too so off we went. I have to say I was very disappointed. We were done with the park in three hours . And the only thing on my mind was disney was right there and they wouldn't let me in. Well the kids made me shop at one of the outlet malls(I would rather have a fingernail removed then go shopping!) . In all it was an amazing trip. I would tell everyone to go on there birthdays and why can't it be you're birthday for four days .The best park for Birthdays was Epcot(did I mention my birthday TEARAR I got for free at the 1900 park fair breakfast) or crown if thats spelled wrong. I wore that till my kids made me take it off. . Thanks everyone who also did trip reports, which would make my mornings as I read them with my coffee. And now to try to get over my Disney Depression. We won't be going back till 2006 And now I have to find something else to be obsessed with instead of planning my yearly Disney Trip.Tina
