Friday 11/19-Day 1

Cast Me & DD age 7

I took the day off from work to finish packing. I spend the rest of the morning preparing the house for DH and DS age 2 to be home alone (what was I thinking leaving my baby ) This will be an all girls trip with the rest of the cast arriving later. DD knows that we are going to Disney but she thinks we are leaving on Saturday! I told her that I would be picking her up from school early today b/c she has a docs appt this afternoon... She was so excited to see all of her things packed in the car for the trip. She said Mom you tricked me that's not nice! LOL We get started doing some last minute errands when the daycare calls to say my DS got hurt while playing tug of war with a chair! I am ready to turn around to go see about him when my husband tells me to go ahead he will take care of it. That still didn't comfort me but I knew he needed to prove to me he could take care of him alone That didn't mean I didn't want to turn around to go see about my baby, I stayed on and off the phone with DH until he got home with DS from Doc...he is fine now but I still felt guilty for leaving when he was hurt. After grabbing a quick lunch we are finally on the rode by 12:45. We arrive in Orlando about 7 pm. Lots of traffic, you can guess what that means...I head to DtD guest services to upgrade 5 day hoppers to AP. I had the hardest time finding a parking spot. The crowds were massive at DtD! I am determined to have a good trip despite the crowds. I purchased the 5 day passes at my local Disney store for $440.91 it cost me $338.72 to upgrade 1 adult and 1 child to AP...wait that's not right! I was being overcharged for the price. After explaining over and over that I should only be paying about $305 I got my credit and was out the door to the Toy store...gift to DD for being so patient. Well I remember to look at the back of the AP to confirm the expiration dates...04/22/05 Oh no! Here we go back to guest services...they made the expiration 1 year from the date that was printed on the back of the hopper pass. I had to show my receipt as proof of when I purchased. Ok now it's about 9:30 and we are finally all set to head to All Star Movies...our very first stay on site. I booked the AP rate which is why I wanted to have my AP in hand at check in...they never asked for it! Check in was smooth and all of about 15 mins. I got everything I requested...2nd story, bldg 10, non-smoking...Thanks mousekeetrips. We got to bed finally around 11. The rooms were very neat and small but big enough for a family with small kids. This day was full of drama but hey this is a Diva trip after all....

Saturday 11/20-Day 2

Cast: Me & DD

Woke around 6 am. DD got wake up call from Mickey, this was too cute! We check out of ASMo and stop at McDonalds on the way to park...$8 for 2 sausage biscuits and juice! Yeap we're at Disney! We head over to MK for opening ceremonies. Hey how do you get to be the family of the day that opens the park? The crowds were big but we were prepared. As soon as gates open we head to Fantasyland where we did everything except Dumbo and the Carousel with in the hour. We also saw Alice and the Mad Hatter. We head over to Tomorrowland and do the speedway and Buzz lightyear-Didn't do Stitch's new ride, lines were way too long-it was the worst wait time. By 1 pm the fast pass return time was 5-6 and stand by was 50 mins. We did Carousel of Progress and Tomorrowland Transit (DD loves this-we did this about 10 times the whole week) After this we headed to ToonTown rode Goofy's ride and did the mouse houses after that we take train to Adventureland and do County Bears-Christmas show-very cute, Pirates of Carribean (another one of DD's favorites) Tiki Room, and Jungle Cruise. DD wants to do ToonTown again so we take train there and stay for awhile seeing the mouse houses again and then we take the train to Main street where we watched the flag retreat ceremonies. We leave park to head for Condo off site. Check in took longer than I'd hoped. After unpacking we went back to DtD to shop some. I got all my souvenirs for family and friends and got my 10% Discount Today was a good day. DD got to do all the things she wanted to do. I was just happy to be there again. Weather was great too. Highs upper 70's and lows in the 60's.

Sunday 11/21-Day 3

Cast: Still me and DD but joining us later today will be my DSis & Two Nieces ages 14 & 20

DD and I sleep in today and arrive at MGM by 10:30 am. First thing on her list was muppets 3D after that she played at the Honey I shrunked the kids play area, Playhouse Disney, and the voyage of the little mermaid. She also got to meet Jo-Jo. It was very crowed today and the reason why was because Raven from That's so Raven was there performing songs and signing autographs. We waited a long time to get in to see her. She was performing at the Theatre where Beauty and the Beast plays and the line went all around to the entrance for Fantasmic and back again DD wanted to see her so we waited and waited. Finally we get in only to find out that we cannot get her autograph because the line for that has already reached capactiy. Oh well she enjoyed seeing her perform. We also caught the next performance of Beauty and the Beast. We left MGM at 3 pm to finish perparing for the arrival of the rest of the Divas. We celebrated Christmas at Thanksgiving so I had to finish buying gifts and decorating the condo before they arrive at midnight. DD has enjoyed the last two days of it being just me and her.

Monday 11/22 Day 4

Cast: Me, DD age 7, DSis, DNs 14 & 20

My sis decides to relax today so me and my girls head out to Magic Kingdom. We get a late start since they arrived early this morning (2 am) We arrive at MK at 12:30 and quickly head to Crystal palace to check in for our PS. We are celebrating my younger neice's birthday and she is a Pooh fan! The food was really good especially for my picky eaters. After lunch we do all the rides and attractions that my nieces wanted to do. They also get to meet Snow White, Aurora and Cinderella at the princess room at the store btw the mouse houses. We saw both the parades and the fireworks before leaving. The crowds we large but we Fast passed the popular rides and they had a blast! Pooh and Peter Pan had the longest wait times. Mk closed at midnight everynight this week so we also took advantage of that riding stitch, space mtn and orbit with little or no wait after 11pm. The weather was nice upper 70's lows upper 50's.

Tuesday 11/23-Day 5

Cast: Me, DD, DSis, DNs...joining later will be DM, other DSis and DAunt

Today was hot. Would have been a great day to go swimming. That was the plan it just didn't happen that way. We had PS at 10:10 for breakfast at Donald's place. It was fun and we had a great server who kept playing jokes on my us. Once he squezzed a ketchup bottle towards my sis and she thought she was covered in ketchup! It was only string but you should have seen her face. The next joke he played on one of my DNs, he pretended to be holding hot beverages on a platter and when he got close to her he accidentaly dropped the platter. It was hillarious! The food was great too! Great character interaction, this one we will definately do again! After breakfast we rode the safari. They really enjoyed seeing all the animals although DSis thought it was bit rough she still really enjoyed it! After that we say Devine...She was graceful and beautiful...DD was afraid of her. We did tough to be a bug, kali river, lion king, parade, dinosaur, triceratops and primeval whirl before leaving at 5:45. Crowds were not too bad but were evident. We went back to condo to meet up with the rest of our party and now there are 8 Divas! We had PS at Ohanas at 8:20 we arrive around 7:50 and were seated promptly at 8:20. I also requested the window seat and was granted my request. The food was excellant as usual and my DD had fun doing the hula hoop. We saw the electrical light parade and the fireworks. It was all so very beautiful and a very nice ending to another long day.

I love the title of this report....divas!!! Awesome. Your first days sounds great and its sounds like a good time was had by all. I can't wait to read the rest of this adventure. I am so glad you loved Donald's...I love it too. Your pictues are great too btw.

Wednesday 11/24-Day 6

Today we decide to hit the outlets/Wal-mart and MGM for Fantasmic!
My DSis and DNs buy plenty of souvenirs at Wal-mart and I purchase a cute little Disney princess play camera for DD then we are off to MGM! MGM was packed but we were able to do alot. We did muppets, star tours, backlot tour, beauty and the beast, tower of terror (my first time, It was awesome!), one man's dream, Osbourn lights (simply spectacular) the holiday parade and Fantasmic. We didn't get to do Rock n' roller coaster...it was shut down just as we were about to get in line for it. Don't know what happened and we didn't get a chance to ever go back. As we are waiting on Fantasmic to start it began to rain. There we are without our ponchos, we gave ours away after doing Kali river at AK the day before...lesson learned...I ask them if they wanted to leave but they decided to stick it out! I ended up having to buy Mickey ponchos. It rain for most of the show! Hey when was Steamboat Mickey added to the show, I don't remeber him before... After the show we headed back to the condo to get some dry clothes and then me and my 2 neices headed to MK. It's still raining a bit but lightly. The crowds were mostly gone and we were able to do Pooh, Mickey's Philharmagic, Space mountain and buzz within an hour. It was so much fun! We leave the park at midnight heading back to condo to rest. Early PS in the morning at EPCOT!

Thanksgiving 11/25-Day 7

This morning we have 8:30 PS for the Princess Story book breakfast. We are trying very hard to make it to EPCOT really early so DD can possibly be chosen as Princess of the day! No such luck! We check in at about 8:10. She did get to participate in the opening ceremonies. Very cute! Oh well there's always the next trip. The breakfast was very good. We saw Mulan, Snow White, Belle, Aurora and Jasmine-DD's favorite. DD was wearing her Jasmine costume and Jasmine asked her if she had been in her closet! All the princesses were great and DD especially loved meeting Mulan, it was our first time meeting her. After breakfast I ran to get FP for Mission Space while dd and nieces were in line for Test Track. I really enjoyed Test Track but Mission Space was a different story. I will never, ever, ever do that again LOL! I wish I could have seen my face after I got off this ride! After we finish that we shopped a bit in the gift shops then headed back to Condo where my sisters were busy preparing the Thanksgiving meal! Although I was too shaken to eat we had a great time just being together. After dinner we exchanged Christmas gifts-since we won't see each other for Christmas. After that we headed back to EPCOT with everyone. After the sun went down it got cold! I took my mom and my aunt around world showcase to tour the countries but because it was so cold she was very uncomfortable. I ended up buying her a blanket at the outpost and from that point she was better. They enjoyed seeing all the different buildings and statues from all over the world. It was great to share this experience with them. At the end of our word tour we position ourselves to see Illuminations. It was beautiful and more was added for the holidays. They all seem to really enjoy this show.

Friday 11/26-Day 8

This was the last day for my Sis and her daughters. Me, DD and my nieces decided to do Downtown Disney while the others went shopping at the outlets. They loved everything about the Marketplace. They were giving out samples of the different flavor hot chocolate. It was yummy! I wish I had bought some now! We just spent most of the day browsing in the shops then we went to the movies at Pleasure Island. They wanted to see the Spongebob movie. They seemed to enjoy it but I was upset that I paid $7 to take a nap After the movies we go back to Condo so they could finish packing. We say our goodbyes and I take them to the airport. My other sister, mom and Aunt will be leaving early Saturday so me and DD sit with them for the rest of the evening. I think everyone enjoyed themselves on our first ever Diva trip. We are making plans for the next trip. Maybe a crusie next time...

Saturday 11/27-Day 9

It now just me and DD again! She is starting to get home sick. She is missing her father and brother. So I tell her that we will be going home today. But first I need to stop by World of Disney to pick up some last minute souvenirs! While shopping my DH calls me to find out our plans and when we were coming home. I tried to whisper to him that we were staying until Monday but DD overheard and now she is jumping up and down in the store....we're staying til Monday! I finish call with DH and tell DD that was her next surprise. We would be staying 2 more nights on site! We leave downtown disney and drive to Pop Century. As soon as she saw the entrance she was screaming...she is so dramatic! Oh thank you mom I can't wait to see the buildings. I go in and check in, room was ready..Cool it's only noon! I also bought tickets for MVMCP, shh another surprise for DD. I got all of my requests~thanks again Mousekeetrips. We were very close to parking and buses. I unload the car and we head out on the bus to MGM! At MGM we did all of DD's favorites-muppets, star tours, beauty and the beast. We also see characters dresses in holiday outfits really cool. I evven got to do the great movie ride for the first time...DD enjoyed it too! After MGM we hop over to MK crowds are not that bad at this time...6:00 pm. It could have something to do with the fact that is was raining! Everyone was leaving out. We got to ride up front on the Monrail and she got her co-pilots license! By the time we get inside MK the rain has stopped so we hit Fantasyland, then on to Tomorrowland, back to Adventurland and finally Haunted Mansion. She did everything she wanted to do and some things twice! We stayed until park closing at midnight. DD was exhausted from all the excitement! We rode the bus back to Pop~has a great bus driver, he was very amusing!

Sunday 11/28-Day 10 (Last Day)

We slept in this moring, DD answers wake up call...PoC! She is very happy with that! We head over to Epcot about 10 am we get fast pass for Test track then we walk over to the Living Seas. I found the exhibit very interesting but DD was none to thrilled. She asked if we could do Mission Space. I say oh no! Not me never again, maybe next trip you and dad can do it togther. We walk back over to Test Track only to find that it was shut down and that it would be at least an hour before it would be running again. Sorry sweetie we can't do that one either. She said that's ok mom...can we go to Animal Kingdom. Sure we can! We hop on the bus to AK. Here she does the bone yard and primeval whirl. After that she is ready to leave. I promised her we could take a dip in the pool. We make it back to Pop around 2. DD loved the pool, I loved the theming of the hotel. I took my time walking to the pool just so I could soak up the atmosphere. It was beautiful and the weather was perfect...80 degrees. I play around a bit with DD in the pool. Afterwards we head to food court then back to room for a nap. Tonight we are doing MVMCP! We wake around 7 head over to MK. Everything is beautiful and seeing the snow on Main Street topped it off. We saw all the holiday shows and even got to ride Buzz and PoC. It was more crowded than I expected but since we weren't really doing the rides it didn't bother us. The Parade was awesome. Horse drawn carriages and ponies. It was beautiful. After the last show we went to the Emporium and picked up a Toy soldier Mickey with the MVMCP mediallion on the bottom of his shoe then we sadly take the bus back to the resort. It was a great vacation and we are sad to be going home but there is always the next trip...

What a great trip! That time alone with the divas will be something you will all always have....very special. I am so glad you got to do the extra two nights and the MVMCP. Your DD has a great mom. Thanks for sharing it all. BTW: Your DD takes a heck of a picture...beautiful girl.
