pop century 4day blitz

My first trip report so bear with me, we're still on vacation at the other park and paid for a day of internet so I can post this. Here goes............

Cast: DD, DH and myself

first stay at PC, 2nd floor building 10, 70's. Bit of a walk from the parking lot but otherwise good location. Room OK, food court good for breakfast, pool nice and warm. Not noisy or crowded.

Day 1 (arrival)

No problems with flight or rental car arrived to PC at 1100, room ready dropped stuff and headed to AK where we walked through the gates at 1205.
This was our first visit to this park. We enjoyed Kai rapids, Kilo. Safari, Dino and wings. watched a bit of Christmas parade and did two trails. Slightly crowded and chilly.

Then we hopped a bus to TC and caught the Monorail to MK we got the front car and enjoyed the ride. PS at LTT and had a great meal and lots of Character time. Especially from our favorite Goofy.

Then it was off to MVMCP. Got our photo first, which they mail and hopefully
it will be home when we get there. We rode SM, Stich (not as bad as I thought it would be) DD was getting tired, our day did start at 3am. We did Pirates and watched wishes from AL not the best locatiion but OK. Then decided to head back and get some rest. The snow was fun.

Re: pop century 4day blitz

DAY 2

Early morning up at 0600 breakfast at everything Pop, hard boiled eggs and coffee for me and bagles with cream cheese for DH and bagle breakfast sandwich for DD with mugs filled we caught the first bus for early entry to MGM. Rode ToT, RRC, GMR, ST, BS then caught the boat to EPCOT for lunch at the GG. Really enjoyed this, ate way too much character interaction was the best. took loads of pics. After lunch we did MS(walk on) and TT(30min wait)then off to Ice station cool. DD was dying to taste test. DH tried Beverly first and I stopped him from saying anything, then DD took her drink and DH and I were rolling her face was too funny. We then walked around the countries drinking (love those Mararittas) and shopping. We did ride the boat in Norway and watched the American Spirit as well as alittle of the candle light Processional, then it was Canada and waiting for PS at R&C where we got a window seat for illumination which was well worth the wait. Then we dragged our tired bodies back to PC to get ready for day 3. Stay tuned........

I'm lovin this, especially that you're still there.

So, the crowds seem to be managable?

Day two sounds great. Nothing as magical as eating and drinking your way around the showcase. Can't wait to hear the rest.

Re: pop century 4day blitz

Hailey,
When was this trip? I just got back from my own 4 day -- 2 of which were spent at PC -- just this past weekend!

I hope you got to enjoy the nice weather. The first 2 nights I was there (Friday and Saturday), it was freezing. Sunday and Monday (when I stayed at Pop) were much better.

Re: pop century 4day blitz

We were at PC 12/3 - 12/6. Yes, it was chilly by FL standards, but us northerners were comfortable in shorts. Monday was warm, 83 and Sunny

Day 3

Up at 6:30, breakfast again at PC. Then it was off to Epcot for MS (walk on) and TT but it was down so took the boat to MGM and did TOT and RRC x 2 thanks to fastpass. Then it was Scifi for lunch, food OK, DD loved it. Then Sounds Dangerous, Muppetts 3D, Indi, and dinner at 50's. Cousin Jason was a hoot but the down was we waited 50min even with a PS because they didn't call our name outside. Mom was sorry that she forgot us kids were playing in the yard and appitizers were on the house. DH didn't eat his veggies and when he ordered desert back came the green beans topped with whipped cream and sprinkles. DD couldn't stop laughing and of course everytime he tried to order ice cream the rest of the trip DD would burst into laughter. The plan was to see Fantasmic but that fell through since we were late eating. Then we tried to see OLS but were told we would have to walk to the front of the park to get in line. So we decided to leave and head back to PC. The crowd was awful. Back at PC DD and I jumped into the pool briefly, BRRRRRRRRRRRR.

Re: pop century 4day blitz

Day 4

Up at 6AM again, We're just a morning family Packed, loaded car, ateand headed to MK for Keys tour. This was the most awesome tour. Our guide was Mitch, who was a walking Disney history book and stand-up comedian rolled into one. This is a backstage tour limited to guests over 16, It was 5hrs, included lunch and a ride (secret entrance) on HM. As well as entrance to parade staging area and utiladors. We got nice name buttons and a special Keys to the Kingdom pin. If you want to see WDW through the eyes of a cast member take this tour you won't be disappointed.

Then we took DD to the airport and DH and I moved to Universal's Royal Pacific for 4 nights. I'll just say it's not Disney. Watch for my next report on my 10 days at BWI. Turning 50 has its rewards.

I so love that you are still there and writing anyhow- I wondered if Epcot still has the email station like they did a few years back?? That would be neat!
