Friday, November 26th
Up at the crack of dawn and on the road by 6:45am. Thought Dougie would be hard to wake-up but when we told him we were leaving for Disney he jumped straight up and got dressed without any fuss. For those of us with 3-yr olds you know that some days this alone can take hours. We stop for breakfast at McD’s in TN just across from Hickory Hollow Mall. Next stop is for lunch at McD’s in Rome, GA. By 5:40pm we pull into our stop for the night in Valdosta, GA. Stayed at a Courtyard which was really nice and had dinner at (nope not McD’s this time) Red Lobster.

Saturday, November 27th
Rise and shine sleepy head. This time we really are getting to Disney World. On the road by 6:45am and made a stop for breakfast at (you guessed it) McD’s.

We pull into Contemporary right at 11:00am!!! Room isn’t ready but told we won’t have to switch rooms for the 2 different connecting reservations we had but would have a Lake View instead of Magic Kingdom. I was disappointed in this but tried to make the most of it.

We head to DTD for some lunch at Rainforest Café. We just love this place and since we don’t have one nearby it is a special treat for us. Do lots of shopping and call to find out if our room is ready. It is so we head back to unpack and catch a quick nap.

Wake-up from a nap and it is raining. Oh well, head off to the Boardwalk anyway. I don’t melt so a little rain isn’t going to stop me. Grab dinner at ESPN Club. The nachos were the best I’ve had in a long time. Doug wanted to watch the ND game but Dougie wasn’t going to allow that so we head back and turn in for the night. We have an early start planned for our 1st full day.

Sunday, November 28th
Get a wake-up call from Stitch & Mickey this morning. Dougie was less than interested so this would be the only wake-up call for the week. Throw open the curtains to the most beautiful sunrise. Maybe this lake view would work out just fine.

Head over to MK for our 8:05am PS at Crystal Palace. Dougie was a little hesitant to get close to Pooh when he came over to the table. But as the morning went on he relaxed and was giving hugs and kisses.

Run to Fantasyland and grab a FP for Peter Pan. We ride Dumbo, Winnie the Pooh, Snow White & Mickey’s Philharmagic (aka Mickey’s Magic) all before time for our Peter Pan FP. Then head over into Tomorrowland and grab a FP for Buzz Lightyear. While waiting for time we ride AstroOrbiter and TAA. Ride Buzz in which Dougie thought it was more fun to spin us in circles the entire time instead of shooting.

Just about noon so we head over to Casey’s only to catch the Cinderella’s Surprise Celebration show. Very cute show and would plan the time to watch if you haven’t seen it before.

Grab some dogs from Casey’s and then head over to Adventureland grab a FP for Jungle Cruise. Ride POC, Aladdin’s Magic Carpets & Jungle Cruise. Work our way over to Liberty Square and grab some Mickey Bars. Despite the sugar rush Dougie is still in need of a nap so we grab a spot for the parade in front of the Diamond Horseshoe and Dougie falls asleep on my shoulder. I wake him up for the parade and he just loves it. He was waving so much I thought his arm was going to fall off.

After the parade we decide to head back to the hotel for some swimming. Dougie loved playing in the sand and the fountain.

I love the idea of using a dry erase board. Gotta remember that one for the next road trip.

Great pics!!! Love the all in the family Notre Dame ensemble!!! The sunrise picture is awesome. I think that was a fair tradeoff from a view of the MK. I need to ride Astro Orbiter on our next trip. Looks like the view from up there is pretty cool.

How did Dougie manage to eat a chocolate Mickey without getting it all over his shirt???? I usually get a little on me somewhere.

How were the crowds?

BTW....you were smart not to watch the Notre Dame/USC game. It was a mess.

Dinner was at Chef Mickey’s. The food was delicious! We were stuck way in the back behind this wall and I thought we had been forgotten on the characters but once they got to that area we saw all of them within 10 minutes. We were celebrating Dougie’s birthday tonight and they brought him out a cupcake during the Celebrate song and Minnie came up and danced with him.

Monday, November 29th
We are staying at Tower Club level in Contemporary so we grabbed some breakfast from their selection. This didn’t work out too well with Dougie’s food allergies since most all the pastries had nuts and all the desserts in the afternoon did. But we were able to eat the fruit and cereals.

Arrive at MGM and make it for park opening. Nothing special, just play this little song and do a countdown. Ride Great Movie, Muppets 3D and then head to the Animation Tour. Get through that for our purpose and meet the Incredibles. Dougie just loved the movie and was super excited to meet Mr. Incredible and Elasticgirl. They spent lots of time with us and did several different poses. We had on matching family shirts with the Incredibles on them and even brought along our masks.

We were hungry but our PS wasn’t for another hour. Decided to head over to Sci-Fi to see if they had any openings. No problem and we were seated right away. All ordered burgers, fries and shakes and they were very good.

Next went to see Indiana Jones. Dougie was just in awe with the show and even asked to see it again. Then headed over to Playhouse Disney. After dancing with Bear we grabbed FP for Little Mermaid but Dougie was getting very tired and about at meltdown mode. So I took off for some shade and let him get a nap in.
