December Trip
Well I decided to get started with the highlights and if I have the energy, I'll post lowlights later. I have been shoveling, shoveling, shoveling this morning.
First of all, the decorations were fabulous. It is definitely a wonderful time to visit the world. We really did enjoy ourselves. It was nice having a long stay because we never felt rushed. But we were ready to come back home. And it was nice to come home to our Christmas decorations and snow on the ground! The WL was outstanding in all respects. The CM's were wonderful. Housekeeping was also very efficient and we had lots of towels (FYI MerlinMatt). Meals at the Whispering Canyon Cafe were big hits. The dinner was fun, we all had hats made for us. Breakfast was absolutely a roar!! The servers were very animated and just full of it! Dear husband and sons did a rendition of I'm a little Teapot that I will never forget! We were able to eat at all of our favorite places. Chef Mickey's for breakfast was great, no rush, the characters took their time with the kids. Crystal Palace was great for lunch & dinner, breakfast will be saved for lowlights. CRT was outstanding for dinner. The service was superb and the meal was excellent. We had a 5:40 PS on Sunday night and did not wait at all to be seated. The Earl of Sandwich was scrumptious!! The W A I T belongs in lowlights however. However, the meal was on the house, so that was a highlight!! Illuminations was definitely worth the 1 and half hour wait. It was a warm night and we just hung out and talked with the other guests around us. Very nice evening. The night we saw the candlelight processional was very cold but the processional was beautiful. One of our monorail drivers was one of the singers!!!(In the choir) Eartha Kitt was the narrator the night we attended. I was so impressed with the area highschool students. They did a fine job. Animal Kingdom was my favorite park this time. If it weren't for all the ugliness at the MK while we were there, MK would have been it. But I am not going to share that ugliness right now. We met many friendly, kind people during our stay. I wish I could say it was the majority of the time, but I can't. I don't think we'll visit the world at this time of year again. More highlights: Carousel of Progress, I can't stop singing "there's a great big beautiful tomorrow". My 4 year old saying "This has been the best day of my life" almost everyday!!! Seeing the gorillas playing at AK, the parades at MK, and at MGM, and the hippo rolled over on his back during the Kilimanjaro Safaris!! Even our driver was shocked to see that. The cheesecake from the bakery on Main Street, the ride in front of the monorail, and getting my very anxious and nervous 8 year old to ride Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain for the first time and having him ask how many more times we could do it!!

Re: December Trip
Pooh Fan, is it snowing where you are? The kids definitely are what made the trip for us. They just see things differently than we do.
