Bethishooked Mom's First Trip

I got my DH to agree to go back to Disney because we all realized that my Mom, at 69 years old, has never been there. We just got back on Saturday with her, and I have to tell you, Disney was at it's finest!

Ever moment of every day, with my Mom along, all the CM's went out of their way to make her trip enjoyable. Regardless of where we were, its as if they new this was a special trip for her. In fact, my husband whispered to me midtrip, to plan the next one!

I admire all those DC'ers who can come back and account for every detail of their trip. To me, its still spinning around in my head, and will take months for everything to sink in. All I know is that this is my third trip in three years, and each one has such special memories, I can't imagine not returning! I guess to leave you with one happy memory, we were on Safari at Animal Kingdom and the driver had to stop the truck immediately because two rhinos were charging us! The right after that, she turned the corner and the lioness was stalking another rhino, ready to pounce anytime! The driver was so excited, saying that that was a rare sight to see. My Mom just giggled to whole time (even though she was the closest to getting hit by the charging rhinos!)

I, too, admire those people who can remember everything - cause I love reading about it so much. I'm like you. I don't even take a camera (hangs head in shame). Then I always remember other things when I've written my trip report. I'm so glad your mom had a great time and that another trip is in the planning stages. I love the Safari - when we were there last month, the lion and lioness were both standing on the very top of Pride Rock. I swear - they looked just like Simba and Nala!

I have to confess--I keep rough notes during my trip so I can write a detailed trip report when I get back. Each night I spend 5 minutes or so writing down what we did that day. I feel better, now everyone knows my secret.

I have to do the same thing or I'd never remember the "little things" and it would only be a paragraph long. Shhh I won't tell if you don't..

I'm so glad you had a fantastic trip!!

The last time I was at WDW with my parents was for my DS first birthday. He is now sixteen years old!! I would LOVE to get back there with them.

I'm going to have to try this - even though our next trip will only have 1 day at WDW, I would love to be able to write about all our adventures.

I am with you there llama. The most frustrating thing for me is remembering things after writing the report.
I'll take DisneyTeachers advice and make journal entries at night.

Me too! I always remember something after the fact!!
