MJD's TRIP REPORT

Preliminary to Day 1: Take day out of work. Get things ready around the house for vacation. Not cleaning mind you. (DW usually takes care of that.) Wait for DW to get home from work and load truck for our joyous journey to

WDW

.

Day 1- Up at 2:00 am for our journey. Leave the house at 3:15am drive all day until 5:45pm. In Santee, SC. This year I did purchase a transponder for the EZ Pass. What a time saver. First day was great no traffic at all. The kids are great in the truck. DD & DS both have their own TV’s to watch and games to play. DW usually reads on the way down and back. Two hard copies and she finished them both “London Bridges” & “The Hour Game”. (I hate reading long books).

Actually its my DW's truck. Thats the only picture I could find. Our truck is blue.

Day 2- we arrive at my friends place around 11:30am. They invited us to stay for three days and two nights until our reservations at BWV were ready. (See Pictures) They are very good friends of ours. Our children are the same age and get along very well. We vacation with them often and they are fun to be around

. The place they had was just awesome. It felt like we were staying in

WDW

. They had a two-bed villa. We had our own room. We spent a majority of the day at the pool. My DD had beads put into her hair and DS played billiards. The weather was incredible this year and the pool was awesome. Had a couple of beers

and I fell a sleep

for a little bit. (

I was driving for seven hours

)

That evening we went to DTD, walked around and had dinner at Planet Hollywood. After dinner was over we went to SSR to visit. SSR is our DVC home resort

. The place is incredible and I can’t wait to stay there.
