Pharrout Trip Report from 9/14-9/20
It took me little while but here it is. We took Mears, we had to wait for about 20 min. for a van. Every body in the van was going to POFQ or POR. We went to POR first. So we only had to stop once. We checked in at 9:30 AM and they gave us our Room 4334. The CM who checked us in was displaced from CBR. She said they have torn down the old food court and are going to completly rebuild it. We stayed In building 4. I liked the loc. it was right by the food court. Great for filling the mugs after geting back from the parks. Also a short walk to and from the bus stop. We did AK on the 1ST day. We got there at 11:00 and were done by 4:00. We had dinner with my Aunt and Uncle (they live in TPA). We ate at WKL we did not have a PS but only waited 5 min to be seated. We had the all you can eat plates ($21.99). It was awesome they jusy keep bringing food. I was so stuffed I could hardly walk. We did walk some of it off looking at the the lodge it is beautiful. There is a Hidden Mickey on the fire place.
Day 2 we went to Disney-MGM studios. We had paper from the Disney site to get a free pin with you buy the 100 years of Magic pin. So we got them first. I got my wife to go on the TOT for the first time ever. We saw the Stars and Motor Cars parade it did not seem very long. Of corse I may have passed out from the heat and missed some of it. :D We did most of the other rides and called it a day. We went back to our room about 5:00 and rested. Day 3 we went to EPCOT. We noticed they took out the cars you ride in at The Living Seas. You just go through some doors now. We did the rest of Future World except Body Wars we don't like motion sickness. We left early to go to DTD. We rode the boat to DTD. I have a question. Who operates the Treehouse Villas? I have never heard of them. I saw them on the boat ride. We walked around to look for some stuff we would buy on our next trip back to DTD. I for got my Disney club card, so we just did some window shoping.Day 4 we went to Typhoon Lagoon had a good time. There were no lines for anything. I like Blizzard Beach better there are more things to do there. We left after doing every thing at least two or three times. We even floated around the river twice. Now for our Second trip to DTD. We left our room at 4:00 and got a afternoon shower or so we thought. We thought we would just wait around the hotel for it to stop. It started to lighten up at around 5:00 so we got on the bus. We got off at Marketplace busstop and the rain really started to come down. We waited at the busstop for the next bus and went back. The rain never stoped. Day 5 The Magic Kingdom. The Castle lookes great with the new paint. We did all the Mts. We even did Splash Mt. twice. We did not do the kids rides or Ailen Encounter my wife thinks it is to loud. The HM was closed as was COP. I scored over 270000 on Buzz Lightyear. We finished the day there with a ice cream from Plaza Ice Cream Parlor just like always. Now we try DTD for the third time we got down there and got every thing we wanted with my DC card. Just in case any body wanted to know the place to get Guest of Honor name tags at DTD they are in the Disney Days of Xmas. Day 6 and last day at EPCOT. We did the World Showcase this time. We did all the rides in the countries except Maelstrom it is still closed. Yes we even rode the Mexico ride. I think that one needs a make over. Then we went back to packed up to fly back home. :( Another trip that went by to fast.

Welcome home! Thanks for the trip report. It's sounds like you had a great time except for the rain.

PharroutRacing glad you made it home safely and had a good trip. I agree, WDW vacations are never long enough. We were there the same week as you and I agree, the castle just glistens with the new paint job. You think the Mexico ride needs refurb? We rode it for the 1st time and thought it was really neat! Dd said it was better than small world!

Thx for the info Mickey. The Treehouse Villas looked like nobody has been staying there for some time. I did see some lights turned on, on the porches of the treehouses. So I was wondering if they were open.
mmouse67l We had a great time. Have a wonderful time on your trip. Dana the rain was only bad that one night. We only had a few afternoon showers on 1 or 2 other days. It was hot everyday though so the few showers we got were welcome. Dab the Mexico ride just reminds me to much of Its a Small World. I know the Disney imagineers could do something else with it maybe something with the new animatronics they had on the Travel channel a few weeks ago. Of course it might be that I rode that ride 6 or 7 times to many. :)

Thanks for the report. What is the guest of honor name tags? I have seen avatars that are white (looks like CM) name tags, is that what they are?

They look like CM name tags but they are red and have Mickey Mouse on the left side and say guest of honor on the bottom. The only place you can find them is Disney Days of Xmas at DTD.
