I think the Uno's was on I 192 - that's where our condo was, so when we ate outside of the park, we pretty much stayed right on I 192.

I cannot remember if it was an early bird special or maybe just M - Thursday. I would think that they advertise in all of the little books you can pick up.

I had the same concern as you - I don't like bannana splits for that same reason - I don't want the strawberry touching the chocolate....

What I did, was tasted stuff, and if I didn't like it, I put it on the tray that was under the kitchen sink. I didn't care for the cake, so I put it on the tray.

At the beginning, everything kind of is in it's own spot, but as it melts, it gets runny. At that point, it became a scavenger hunt for whatever we felt like we wanted!

How many people will be sharing it?

For $22 or whatever it was, it was well worth it!!!

We are going with friends so we will have 8 in our group. I think it sounds fun even if I don't like it we are only out about $12 per family.

I am the same way with banana splits--in fact I have never had one. They just look gross to me. I am a chocolate and caramel kind of girl.

After reading this I showed pictures of the kitchen sink to my family. They say we HAVE to try that! They absolutely love ice cream!!!

Quick question: Is Beaches and Cream walking distance from Epcot? How do I go about getting there. I've never been to that resort.

Yes,Beaches and Cream is within walking distance to Epcot-in fact it is about a 5 to 10 minute walk. It is located in the Beach Club resort.

No chance at all. It's a five minute walk from the gate. Keep to your right. Going left takes you to the Boardwalk.

Tuesday April 19

We were supposed to be at our timeshare presentation at 8:15, but we were still sleeping at 7:45 when they called to confirm. I rescheduled it to later in the morning.

I won’t bore you with the details, but we didn’t buy the timeshare – boy are those salespeople good!

Since the morning was shot anyway, we plopped ourselves at the pool and let the girls swim. This was a group of different pools, so the girls explored and had a grand old time. Eventually, we ended up at the pool with the waterslide and spent the rest of the day there.
Wednesday April 20

We were planning on going to a water park, but it was kind of cloudy, so we hit Epcot instead. 3 years ago, we went at night for Illuminations and we rode spaceship earth, but other than that, the girls haven’t seen it.

Horror of horrors, I realize that I forgot the camera back at the condo. We had the water camera, but it doesn’t have a flash. I decided to suck it up and deal with it. I’m hoping I’ll be able to get photos online of the attractions and the flower show stuff. We’ll see.

We headed right for the Land because I wanted to see if Soaring was open. IT WAS!!!!! This is the most amazing thing I’ve ever been on. As we were soaring over so many parts of the world, I thought to myself, “I hope we go over Disney World”. We didn’t, but we went over DisneyLand!!!! This was one of the entire family’s favorite attractions. We were hoping to do it again, but never made it back.

We did Living with the Land and I actually remembered some of it from when I went in my early 20’s.

Circle of Life was not open.

Next, we went to the Living Seas and spent a ton of time there. There was a KidCot station there, and the girls made necklace things with dolphins hanging from it.

We saw Turtle Talk with Crush and it was wonderful! They have the kids sit on the floor in front, and the grown ups sit on benches behind them. Crush called on Devon, and asked where her parents were. DH and I both raised our hands, and Crush started talking to DH!!! He was soooooo funny! You cannot miss this attraction – it’s a must see!!!!

As we were leaving the living seas, Nemo rolled out. I got a picture of him with the girls on the waterproof camera. I guess there was no other way to do Nemo, but I was disappointed – there was no interaction at all.

Next, we went to Imagination and did everything there. The girls loved all of the interactive things they could do there.

We saw Ice Station Cool, but we didn’t do it. I’m bummed that we didn’t get in there, but it just didn’t work out. Beverly will have to wait until next time.

We headed to the other side of Future World to do TEST TRACK!!!

We skipped universe of energy because I remembered hating it years ago. I know Ellen is a part of it now, but we just skipped it. Is it any good????

I was looking forward to doing Body Wars – I remember it from years ago, and I told the girls about it, but it was CLOSED – bummer again.

Mission Space was great – I didn’t feel dizzy or sick or anything. Devon sat out (big surprise!), so Bailey rode twice. The area at the exit was pretty neat. They enjoyed the games. Devon and I were able to rescue all of the missing astronauts plus the extra one! We rock!!!!!

We went over to Test Track (we had a fastpass) – the fast pass line was pretty long, but we waited and waited and it just didn’t move. Finally, we gave up. I remember hearing that it breaks down often or they shut it down or whatever, and we were too impatient to wait.

So, we headed over to the countries – we went thru Minnies Butterfly garden and the girls made a butterfly at another Kidcot station.

We started the countries at Mexico and the girls got a mask. We were now on a mission to get every stamp for the mask. We skipped the Mexico ride, but looked around a little bit.

We did the ride in Norway – not as good as I remembered. I did remember being held captive in the room where they try to sell you a trip to Norway. I figured we already sat thru a timeshare presentation – we did our time! We snuck out by following the departed prisoners (I mean guests) – I felt so victorious!!!!

China – we tried to get a reservation, but they couldn’t take us until 8:30. I should have done more homework on where to eat at Epcot because I know we missed out on some really good food.

Germany – By now, we are running from country to country – our own version of the amazing race. We must finish before Illuminations starts! Poor DH – this is probably the part of WDW that he enjoys the most. Some day, we’ll have to go back and drink our way around the world.

Italy – I sent DH back to Germany to get a beer. The line was too long and he didn’t want to hold us up. He needed to have a German beer – he’s GERMAN!!!

USA – got the stamp – done

Japan – We did walk thru the Tin Toy exhibit – very cool. I love looking at old toys – DH enjoyed this too.

Morocco – got the stamp – we’re off!

France – We considered boycotting but we needed that stamp!

UK – I saw the pub that I’ve heard Empress Jenny talk about, but no time – we must move on….
Canada – We did it! We completed the Amazing Race!!! The girls got their little poster and everyone is happy – for now….

We find a spot for Illuminations, and settle in. Bailey and I go on a mission to find a light up set of earrings and ring that she has decided she MUST HAVE. The girls have an allowance for their souveniers, so they think about their purchases much more than if they were spending OUR money. We find her earrings and she is thrilled! BTW – this set is $6 and it comes with a ring and a set of earrings. I thought it was very reasonable. They sell that on the carts at MK during spectro – that’s where Bailey saw them first. At Epcot, the carts didn’t have them, but a store did.

We watched Illuminations and it was wonderful as always. We sat around after and waited for the crowd to clear. When we started walking out, we decided to stop at MouseGear since it would be so crowded trying to get out of the park.

We hung out at MouseGear for a while and headed out. It was pretty easy – we walked to our car because there were no trams around and we were parked very close.

Devon decided after we left MouseGear that she knew what she wanted to spend her money on. She had found a Jessie doll that she really wanted. I promised her that we would go to Downtown Disney in the morning to get it.

Even though we RACED thru the countries, it was still a fun day. I was surprised the girls enjoyed it as much as they did.

Your Epcot day sounds great. I like Epoct and fine we never spend enough time there, this summer we need to change that. Thanks for sharing your trip, I am really enjoying it.
