Corriveau/Fulton Family Trip Report 5/21 - 5/31
Hey I just got back from my trip to WDW. The people who went were myself of course (Im 20) my grandmother (shes in her 60s) and my two cousins Bernard (He's 16) and James (He's 14). My grandfather was suppose to come but on the 20th he was admitted into the hospital so we had to cancel his plane ticket. Anyways onto the report.
May 21 - Arrived in the airport around 10 a.m. We took the magical express to Animal Kingdom Lodge. Well the room was getting ready we went down to the pool and hot tubs for a couple of hours. When we came back up someone had messed up with getting the luggage to the room and we didn't get all our luggage until around 7 p.m. So we spend the rest of the night unpacking. May 22 - We went to Epcot. We went on the new ride Soarin which is one of the best rides at the park. Other rides we went on is Spaceship Earth, Mission: SPACE, Rio del Tiempo, Maelstrom, The American Adventure. We ate lunch in Mexico inside of the resturant as we watched people on the Rio del Tiempo ride. After eating lunch we went with my grandmother to see a Flower Power performance and the group who performed was Rare Earth. We ate dinner at the hotel. May 23 - We went to Magic Kingdom early in the morning. We rode on and saw Splash Mountain, Haunted Mansion, It's A Small World, Stitch's Great Escape, Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, Mickey's PhilarMagic. We ate lunch at Peco's Bill. We called an early day because it was too hot and the park was quite crowded and we went back to the hotel to eat dinner. May 24 - We went to MGM Studios. We saw the new Lights, Motors, Action Stunt show which is very amazing and entertaining. We also went on Rock N' Rollercoaster, Tower Of Terror, The Great Movie Ride, Star Tours & Muppet 3-D. We ate lunch at 50's Primetime Cafe and we ate dinner at Boma Resturant. May 25 - We spent the whole day at Thypoon Lagoon. The pool where the big wave comes is the sole reason why we all prefer TL to Blizzard Beach. We went on the new water ride called Crush N Gusher. After staying until closing time me and my cousins when to DisneyQuest at Downtown Disney. I went on a couple of virtual rides including the cyberspace mountain while my cousins pretty much stayed in the arcade section. May 26 - We decided to take it easy today and no go to any theme park or waterpark. So we spend most of the day hanging out at the hotel and swimming. We then took the monorail to Polynesian Hotel for the luau and dinner. After the luau me and my cousins went to DisneyQuest once again. May 27 - We went to Animal Kingdom Lodge. We did the Pangani Forest Exploration Trail and Maharajah Jungle Trek. We also when on the Kilimanjaro Safaris. Besides the treks and safaris we went on Dinosaur, Tough to Be A Bug, Kali River Rapids, and I went on Primeval Whirl with my two cousins. We ate lunch at Tusker House Restaurant. After Animal Kingdom, once again me and my cousins when to Disney Quest where I ate dinner upstairs in one of the cafes. After spending few hours at Disney Quest me and my cousins went to the AMC Theaters in Downtown Disney to see Star Wars Episode III Revenge Of The Sith. May 28 - We went to Epcot Center and we went on Maelstorm, Soarin, Rio del El Tiempo, Journey Into Imagination and Ellen's Energy Adventure. We went in the Ice Cool Station for the second and final time. We ate lunch in Japan at the World Showcase where the chef prepared the food for us. After lunch I went to MGM solo to check the Star Wars weekends, unforunately I got there to late to meet the Star Wars celebrity so I just went on The Great Movie Ride, Star Tours and did Tower Of Terror twice before leaving. I met up with my cousins at Disney Quest where I ate dinner again. May 29 - We decided to get the swimming and eat lunch done at the hotel. After swimming for several hours, We went to Epcot for the final time. However we got there late and for some strange reason we got seperated after we did Mission: SPACE which I ended up alone. So I went on Rio del Tiempo, Maelstorm, and Test Track. I ate dinner at American Adventure. I eventually met up with my grandmother and cousins when Illuminations came on. After that we returned to the hotel to rest up for our last full day on the trip. May 30 - For our last full day in WDW, we went to Magic Kingdom. Since we got there when the park opened we went on Space Mountain three times. We went on Buzzlightyear Space Ranger Spin, Aladdin's Flying Carpets, Pirates Of The Carribbean, Indy Speedway, Stitch's Great Escape, Mickey's PhilarMagic, Goofy's Barnstormer, Enchanted Tiki Room Under New Management, It's A Small World. We ate lunch in Cosmic Ray's Starlight Café. We left to relax at the hotel and ate dinner at Boma. We came back to Magic Kingdom rode on Aladdin's Magic Carpets, Haunted Mansion, Snow White's Scary Adventures and Big Thunder Mountain. We ended the night watching Wishes. May 31 - The day was crappy due to the rain and the packing took a long time. We checked out of the room around 12 PM. We spend the day in the hot tubs and swimming until the Magical Express came to pick us up at 3:15 P.M. Our flight was at 6pm and we arrived back in Providence, RI when it was almost 9. We went from 80-90 degree weather in Orlando to 50-60 degree weather here back home. Well thats my trip. |

Sounds like you all had a great time! Some day I will stay at the Poly. Just can't afford 2 rooms there and that's what it would take for all 6 of us to stay there.

For as much as I've been to WDW, I've never been to DisneyQuest. Judging from how often you went, I'm going to have to try it. I'm so glad you liked AKL. Isn't it a great resort?

Re: Corriveau/Fulton Family Trip Report 5/21 - 5/31
Glad to hear another positive opinion about AKL since we'll be staying there in Dec. It makes me confident about my choice and the extra money. I really can't wait.
How was the return service with Magical Express? I assume your luggage made it back OK????

First, I hope your DGF is feeling better. Second, thanks for sharing your report. It sounds like a great trip was had by all. I am glad you like AKL as much as I do. It's definately one of my favorite resorts. How did the ME go? Did you have to wait long to get to your resort?

Re: Corriveau/Fulton Family Trip Report 5/21 - 5/31
Um actually Magical Express was about 20 minutes I think we stopped at three resorts. One of them was Cornado Springs and I forgot the other one. I do remember that AKL was the last stop. It didn't seem to long of a ride due to the fact we all got to watch (Lion King) while being dropped off at the resorts.
