Honeymoon trip report (After the fact)
I have to preface this with saying that when deciding what to do for honeymoon, I had wanted to go on a cruise but my soon to be DW never learned to swim in her country so she steadfastly said NO. She then suggested going to Italy, which due to my fear of flying lead to another resounding NO! I then, said "Well, what should we do?" The next words started the wheels a churning, "Let's go to DINNEY!" (She likes to say that as opposed to Disney, its rather cute to hear her say it)
Now to be honest, I was rather apprehensive about coming to Disney, I had not been there in over 10 years and the last time I had been there I stayed with a friend. My thought was it was going to be extremely expensive to stay there and go to the parks. The last time I had stayed onsite was as a kid with my folks and the only resorts were Contemporary, Polynesian and the original Golf Resort. But, it was the one place that we could agree on, so I digress. I started checking out the rates for the hotels and I was stunned at how affordable the prices were! We ended up choosing the Pop Century Resort. Next came the tickets. As I was comparing prices for 4 day park prices, I noticed that for an extra $12 (plus tax) per ticket, I could purchase the Seasonal Pass. I figured for that, we could figure a way to sneak a few more trips to DW into our budget for the year. Anyway, the day came to head off for our honeymoon. We got to the Pop to check in. My only problem which was ultimately my fault was when the clerk asked what type of bed we wanted, queen or double, I said "Well, we are on our honeymoon" thinking that she would have figured it out and put queen as right after I said that she said "Ok". We got the double beds. Go figure I am 6'3" and 240lbs., basically a big puppy dawg. My wife is petite so she had no problem but I was hanging off the bed...DOH. Otherwise, the room was fantastic. We stayed in the 70's wing, which was great considering my childhood memories of Disney were during that time.We had a great time at the parks, with the first day at MK being my favorite. I have never been one for fireworks shows, but I have to say the Wishes show is absolutely spectacular and I made it a point to see it again the day we went to Animal Kingdom. The next best part of our trip was at Epcot. I had never been there, but my wife loves it. While at the park, we had lunch at the Rose & Crown and our server, Francis asked why were were there. After we told him we were on our HM, he and the rest of the servers came to our table after lunch and sang "All You Need is Love" from the Beatles, that made my DW blush and she absolutely loved it! I recommend to any of you who go there to ask for him as he is a great server! The third day was at Animal Kingdom which at the time we were not too crazy about. By the time we got to Killimanjaro Safaris, all the FP were done for the day and the line was humongous so we decided to head back to MK for the evening to see Wishes again. Our last day we decided to go to MGM for a few hours before heading back south. DW had never been there so we had a good time hitting some of the rides like Star Tours and Narnia. After that, we started the trek back home trying to decide when our next trip would be. (I ended up setting the reservations for Labor Day a few days later and we squeezed in Memorial Day at the last minute) Sorry if it is a bit wordy, but I wanted to give a basic idea of what for us was a fantastic honeymoon.

Re: Honeymoon trip report (After the fact)
Oh that sounds like a wonderful honeymoon! I'm glad you guys had a great time!
At least if you ever go back and stay in a Moderate or Deluxe on Disney property, you may get a King bed and then you won't have the same bed problem. My husband is a "big puppy dawg" too, and I know what a nightmare it is for him, trying to sleep on a double bed!
