Yesterday we ran down to Typhoon Lagoon for the day. My SIL wanted to go, so off we went Because this was just a short day trip, I will keep the report short, lol.

The good:

We got there around noon and it looked very crowded...but inside the lines were not bad at all. My niece and I went on every slide, including all 3 at Crushin Gusher..and they were great. We did make sure not to drag our rears while on them (I have heard they can cause some real bruises) and we had no problem. Lilo and Stitch were there, and my niece and DS got lots of huggs from them. We had lunch, and the kids meal comes in a cute pail with a shovel! Oh and DS and my niece loved swimming over the sharks so much, we did it twice. The CM said the water was 68 degrees, but it really didn't feel cold...I swear!

The Bad:

... The park closed a little early because of lightning, maybe a half an hour. But at least we had allready been on everything there The other bad thing...well it really just shocked me more then anything. As we were going to our chairs to get our towels and go home....there were some British tourists with 2 girls around 9 and 11 years old. Both girls had taken off their swimsuits to change into dry clothes. I mean they were standing there...butt naked...in the middle of Typhoon Lagoon I was a bit shocked to say the least. USE THE DRESSING ROOMS PEOPLE!!!! Thats what they are there for

All in all.....

it was a great day trip, and I hope my SIL will want to go do something like that again soon

LOL, be glad they were kids. I had friends visit from the UK and decided to go visit a beach. We turn around and all of a sudden they were getting changed on the very crowded beach, in front of everyone. What's acceptable in other cultures is taboo here and vice versa.
Well sounds like you had a great time anyway. DH won't go on Cn'G any more as you can probably surmise why now.

Craziness...that would be just craziness. Now, I have a friend who tells me that sometimes by accident ladies might lose various articles of clothing going down Summit Plummit at BB...not saying this is ok...but accidents do happen and I wouldn't complain if they were "older" of course!!! Doing it on purpose though...that just ain't right.

Oh, I wish I could take day trips to TL! That would be such a great cure for the Alaska blues.

Sounds like you had a really fun day...um, except for the naked pre-teens. That is just...disturbing. I wasn't comfortable being naked in front of anyone (even my mom) by the time I was six! I can't imagine standing in the middle of water park butt naked at that age!! AT LEAST USE A TOWEL!

Thanks for the day report. Sounds like a perfect day. That is a bit strange to have little kids get stark naked in front of the world, but other countries have different views on nudity. That said, 9 and 11 year old girls are to old for that sort of thing. I can see a toddler or even a 4ish year old, but 9 and 11 year old girls tend to develop....if you get my meaning.

Even though I laughed as I was reading your post. I don't think I would have found the situation funny at all had I been there. I mean if you go to another country you learn there culture.

It really is kind of funny, now that I'm not there, being surprised by it, lol. I do get the whole different countries/different customs. But when in Rome (or this case the USA).......USE THE DRESSING ROOMS!!! ROTFL :)
