August 2005 WDW Trip

Good Morning. I have been encouraged to talk about our trip to WDW & get myself involved on DC. First, thank you for all the warm welcomes I have received. I was wondering how I could communicate withother Disney fanatics such as myself.
My wife and I went Aug 24 to 28th & had a blast. I wrote earlier about our encounter with the Disney Express. Like I said earlier, it wasn't a complaint but more of a warning to people using the service. We stayed at the Port Orleans -French Quarter (where we stayed on our honeymoon). Disney even made sure we had the same room when we returned for this wedding anniversary. Everything was just as we left it, except for some new features like the Free Meal Plan. That was a blessing! If there is anyway to schedule your trip around the time the plan is being offered, by all means do it. Such a money saver.
We dined in several places but our favorites were the Moroccan resturant in Epcot (sorry I forgot the name) & Cinderella's Royal Table. Cinderella's Royal Table was the best experience we had there. Even though we had reservations, we still waited an hour and ten minutes to be seated. But, by that time we had a window seat to watch the "Wishes" fireworks. Also, the food was excellent and my wife ordered the Cinderella's Slipper. The thing was a slipper made of white chocolate. And of course, like every other thing in WDW, my wife photograghed it.
We had a wonderful waitress that made the experience even more magical & just because we mentioned it was our anniversay that night, they gave us Cinderella's Royal Table champagne flutes. When we left, the park had closed and we were the only guests left on a beautifully lit Main Street. The music was still playing in the background and all the lights were still lit. It was so amazing and magical and leaving there was one of the hardest things I've had to do in a long time. Besides how many guests get Main Street all to themselves?
Anyway, to make a LONG story short, this vacation was the best we have had in a long time and we have decided (children or not) we will vacation here every year if possible.
