Back but not happy about it...
Hello All,
Just wanted to write a brief trip report (my first). Just got back from 5 days at Pop Century and loved it. We arrived late Wed night and had a little problem checking in. Most of the CMs that were doing check-ins were in training. The nice CM that we had was having some difficulty setting up our room keys and such. However, it was our first night and we were just happy to be there. All was forgiven and we started our vacation. We staying the the 70s building overlooking Hourglass Lake. The first day was spent at the Animal Kingdom. No waits whatsoever for most of the day. Kilimanjaro Safaris was great because the weather was cool and the animals were out. We saw Tarzan Rocks for maybe the last time and loved it as usual. We did see one of the "monkey" skaters fall down pretty hard during the performance. She seemed OK but you could actually feel her land on the concrete. OUCH! Left AK and headed to the Magic Kingdom. Again, no waits. Rode Big Thunder twice with no waiting and Goofy's Barnstormer four times. My daughter (6) loves those rides and just didn't want to stop. We visited Pooh's Playful Spot (nothing to write home about). I had my traditional Citrus Swirl in Adventureland and we headed back to the hotel. Day 3 had us headed to Epcot. Walked right onto Soarin' and Test Track. We hit the "Living with the Land" boat tour. The ride was great as usual, but our "skipper" couldn't remember her narration. Basically it was like...those are squash...those are pumpkins...I think... Maybe still earning her ears... I skipped Mission Space because of a poor dinner choice the night before...the stomach couldn't have taken it... Walked around the countries and hit Spaceship Earth on the way out. I really miss the interactive area at the end of that ride. Day 4 took us back to the Magic Kingdom. It was now Saturday and the emptiness that we had enjoyed up until now was gone. Packed city! Well..moderately packed. 30 minute waits for most of the big attractions. We hit the rides that we missed last time (Pirates, Haunted Mansion, Buzz Lightyear, etc.) It is interesting to note that most of the rides had long waits except for Stitch's Great(?) Escape. 5 minutes on Stand-By. Mmmmm... Anyway, the crowds were thick so we decided to head back to Pop Century for the pools. Day 5 brought us back to South Florida. A good trip by all standards. We are already planning the next trip in December. Thanks for reading... The Bishop

Re: Back but not happy about it...
Great trip. Isn't it fun to go with a 6 year old? I loved taking my boys for their 5th birthday. They are all so awe-struck at that age and seem to be totally blown away but the sounds and sights and most of all the characters.
