Okay, so as a few of you know, I had kind of a mixed experence on my last trip to Disneyland with my friend and her mother. The first half was the most AMAZING trip of my whole life, with me getting CRAZY amounts of special treatment everywhere we went...then my friend went totaly nuts and her mom supported it and they DITCHED me and left me alone to wonder the park all day with no hotel key or way of finding them...to sum up I basically balled the whole day and went to see Mickey and cryed in line and was then just felt like an intruder on someone else's holiday the rest of the time. I then didn't speak to my "friend" for 6 months after but finally I decided to be the bigger person and just forgive and (try to) forget.
The point being, I hadn't felt up to doing a TR after all that but I feel that I'm over it enough now to at least share with you all the highlights from that trip...and there were ALOT!

SO here goes...now close your eyes and we're going to travel back to the date oa Monday May 2nd 2005.................

Cast: Me (19) my Best Friend Jay (18) and her mom Irene (celebrating her 50th with Disney!)

Day 1: We had a very early flight, so we decided to spend the night in a hotel right by the airport so we could have a nice relaxing morning. We got the shuttle to the airport and everything went totally smoothly getting on the plance, them both with their tiny 15lbs suitcases me with my 29lbs bright pink one with a matching Disney Princess Backpack! hee hee

Here is a note to everyone...NEVER take the "Airport Shuttle" do NOT be fooled by the amazing Disneyland picture on the side of the bus...they are way overprices and so slow at dropping everyone off it took us over 2 and a half hours to get the our hotel from the airport! (I would recommend the Super Shuttle) so we finally got to the HoJo where we would be spending our first 2 nights before our upgrade to Paradise Pier concierge level (oooh la-la!)

The Howard Johnson Anaheim is really not that nice, but since I was a guest the hotel choice was not up to me (or I would have been at the Candy Cane Inn! my fave place...don't get me started how much I love it there!)

So we just changed our clothes and headed right to the park!
We got inside, ready to be fighting breathing room and millions of people and huge crowds and crazy kids and parents and.....whats this? The park is

EMPTY!

I am not even joking...it was more dead then when I went in January...no waits for ANYTHING, and then we hear over the main speakers
"Tonight ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, we would like to invite you to view a sneek peek of Disneyland's 50th celebrations with the Parade of Dreams and Remember...Dreams Come True Fireworks show!"

We were all squeeling in shock! So, we rode Indiana a good 3 times and then Buzz (which is really quite fun!) Splash Mountain, stared longingly at the then unopened Space Mountain while eating a delicious pineapple spear!

We then got to view the new parade at around 4pm, which was (obviously) AMAZING! BREATHTAKING! INCREDIBLE! I (as manye of you know) totally obsessed with Ariel and her float was HUGE and had fountains and everything *swoon*

Then we got to just wonder over to see the Fireworks with NO crowd and the best seats in the park! Just in front of the tree in the "hub" you get totally surrounded by the Haunted Mansion part and you can see the canons and the lazers, we all cryed and held each other, it was an amazing time.

We decided we had done SO much more than we had expected to that day already that we would have a nice wonder around downtown Disney and then take the long walk to our off property hotel

Day 2: Tessa get's welcomed into the Disney family...

We had a lovely dinner at the Blue Bayou before seeing the Fireworks, and after riding PotC a good 4 times and HM hee hee!

We had the pleasure of getting to see the TrashCan Trio while meandering around Tomorrowland, I love those guys! I got them to sign my autograph book and they drew little trash cans!

last time we got to see the Castle before they put up the crowns and the extra gold everywhere...farewell plain castle...we won't really miss you hee hee

We decided for lunch we'd pop by the club, but then we didn't want to seem like we were rich and make the other park guests feel bad so we just took a picture like the rest of them.............

I forgot to mention...the coolest thing about getting to see the sneek peeks (besides it being practically only us in the parks) was that 95% of the people who were there were CM's! It was so much fun to be right in the middle with literally nothing but cast members beside you, we could hear them all talking about backstage stuff and what shifts they were working and everything, it Loved it! I guess they had those sneek peeks so the CM's would be able to see them before the rush hit.

Oh my Tessa, these photos are bringing tears to my eyes... June... please come... NOW!!!!! That parade of dreams float is completely out of control!! I LOVE it.
