Hi kids! Here we are... . I'm on a break from the conference and thought I'd check in quickly.

We got here on Wednesday safely and on time by way of a half-empty Delta flight out of JFK, fumbled through the car rental process, and found our way quite easily to Pop Century. What a cute resort! We're in the 80's section and have Pac-Man gobbling up pellets on our railing outside. We're also right next to the pool, which is nice. My only complaint so far is the lack of running trails. As it turns out, the generation gap bridge ends abruptly at a big green fence and I can't even run over on the legendary years side. That leaves a very small section of sidewalk that I get to run back and forth on each day to get my exercise. Ugh.

The dining plan is working out swimmingly and we experienced California Grill last night. Our server, Bill, was fabulous. As a certified sommalier, he kept bringing us glass after glass of wine to try and I stumbled upon one I loved--Conundrum from California--which reminded me a bit of my beloved Ice Wine. I ordered the pork and goat cheese polenta and roomie ordered the filet with mashed potatoes. Upon receiving our meals and trying them, we quickly switched! I hated the polenta and roomie loved it! As it turned out, the filet was amazing! Dessert was the chocolate lava cake which reminded us both of the rich taste of the hot chocolate we're served in Europe.

We watched Wishes from our table, but the fireworks couldn't compare to the absolutely gorgeous sunset last night. Amazing.

So, 'Ohana tonight--can't wait! And we might actually venture into a park as well!

Hi guys! Checking back in with ya cause I miss you! :) The weather's gorgeous right now and it's not supposed to rain until next Friday! Hooray!

After the conference yesterday we were planning on going to Epcot for an hour or so before our dinner reservation, but since we love watching the sun set at 'Ohana we decided to try to get in early for our ADR. We rode a circuit on the monorail and checked out everyone's creative halloween costumes for the party last night (some VERY crafty pirates, indeed!), and then headed over to the Poly. 'Ohana was lovely as always. We checked in 2 hours early and the buzzer went off as soon as my friend came back from the bar with our drinks (i.e. about 5 minutes!). We were seated at the primo table--you know, the one by the window with the great view of the castle!! --and were able to watch HalloWishes from the restaurant.

Then it was back to the hotel to crash. Just got up this morning and went for a run. I have one more conference session today and then I'm FREE!!!

Magic Kingdom today! Can't wait to tell you about it!

Bali, I am glad you are having a great time! We should get together for drinks or something. I can't believe you get to spend so much time in Florida! That's awesome. So there's really no excuse for us not to get together.
