My birthday BC Trip
Cast:Me(celebrating the birthday that makes me eligible for AARP in 5 years)
Mother and aunt We left early Sunday morning and arrived at BCV around 10ish. Our room wasn't ready,so we went to self-park and hoofed it to Epcot to be in time for the 11:30 tea seminar at the UK pavilion. That was great!!! After that,we used up all our snack options to do the food booths. Let me say this one thing about the F&W festival. If we had done this OOP,it would have cost us 25 dollars. All the samples were good, but the portions were miniscule and the prices were way too high. Anyway, after we did the booths,we went to see Voices of Liberty in AA. They sang happy birthday to me!!! That was cool. We continued the fun by going to the beer seminar at the AA. After that,we went back to BCV to get our room. That led to minor annoyance #1. They wouldn't let us take one of the luggage racks to the car to get our stuff. They insisted that as a 4-star resort, that they took luggage to your room. Okay,so my mother had to go get the car and bring it to the main entrance. We followed the guy to our room because we had no idea where it was. He was nice, though,so we didn't take it out on him. When we got to our room,I immediately got into my bathing suit and went to Stormalong Bay. They didn't even ask to see my room key to get a wrist band!!!! I stayed at the pool for about a half hour and then went back to the room to rest a bit. We had 7pm reservations at Marrakesh. We got there about 15 minutes early and were seated right away. The food was delicious and we were pleasantly satified. The bill cam to over 100 dollars with tax and tip-God Bless the dining plan. After dinner,we were in time for the 8:15 show of the 4 Tops. They were really good. As we were walking back to the room,Illuminations started. I don't know about you,but that show is boring if you can't see the globe come out because it seems like for a long time nothing is happening. Anyway,we got back to the room and watched TV for a while and then went to sleep(BTW,that Stacie is VERY annoying!!!) |

Re: My birthday BC Trip
My mother went in first and spoke to one of the voicers who was talking to someone in the previous audience. When I walked in,she told me to sit on the floor. I thought something was up,so I sat on the floor and they sang Happy birthday to me and a little girl who happened to be sitting right next to me who also was celebrating a birthday.

Re: My birthday BC Trip
On Monday,we went to MGM in the morning. We asked at the guest relationd desk if 4 for a dollar was performing at BATB,but found out that they are off on Sunday and Monday. Minor Bummer!! We saw then the Back Lot tour and great Movie Ride before exiting to go to Epcot to eat at Sunshine Seasons and go on Soarin' and Mission Space(Spent $33.70 on the meal plan). We then went back to the room to go swimming at SAB-this time they checked our room keys. When I got back to the room,my aunt had arrived. We rested in the room for a while and got ready for our Ohana ADRs. We had a great time!! The food was great. When they saw my birthday button, they sang Happy Birthday to me,and at the end of the meal,I got a little cupcake that I couldn't eat because I was so full. When we left the restaurant,Hallowishes was starting,so we got to see a taste of what was in store for us the next night. When we got back to the room,we basically went to bed.

Storm-a-long Bay! Woohoo! The one pool I'd consider sneaking into to use (but really wouldn't).

Or maybe just wear your thong.........so many people would be washing their eyes out, no one will check for id's. mickaholic4077, did you see many little kids at the pool? Next year we are hoping to be able to get into BCV for the swimmers in the family. I'd be just as happy at BW just for being able to walk to epcot. |

Re: My birthday BC Trip
I am glad you had a good birthday! What did you think of BC? I know you have wanted to stay there for a while now. Since we will be there in December, any info about the resort would be great.

Re: My birthday BC Trip
I lOVED the BC!!! I can't wait to rent points again. That is the way to go if you want to stay there but can't afford the hefty price tag.
On Tuesday,my mother and aunt wanted to go to the outlets,so I decided to go with them because it was waaaaay too cold to swim. We went to Character Premiere in the outlet mall off I-4 Exit 68. I didn't buy anything because nothing really appealed to me. We got back to the hotel after 1:30 and went to Beaches and Cream for the fabulous hamburgers(OOP since the bill came to 9 bucks each). Then we got ready to go to MNSSHP. They didn't let us in until 4:10!!!!!(not a big deal,I know, but they advertise 4pm,you know!!LOL). I think we picked the perfect day to go because there were hardly any crowds at all. I had called up the lobby concierge the day before asking if there were any tickets left for the party the day I was going and she said there was. We started trick-or-treating right at 7pm and kept going on some trails until my mother and aunt got us some great seats for the 1st parade. I went off and did more trick-or-treating while they kept my seat for me. I think the parade was really good, although I was expecting it to be a Halloween edition of Spectromagic.(I wasn't disappointed at all, mind you;I was just surprised) After the parade we ate at Pecos Bill since we were seated right there. That chicken wrap was really good!! Then we went to the hub to get places for the fireworks. I really enjoyed them. After that,my mother and aunt worked there way back to the hotel while I stayed and had my face painted(Minnie Mouse) and basically went back time and again on the trick-or-treat trails. I ended up with half a backpack of candy(My teeth ache just thinking about it!!). I left the MK around midnight and very tiredly got back to the hotel and went to sleep. |
