My First Trip Report!!! (tutoring accepted!!)
Okay...so I am new to posting here on MoouseBuzz. I have been reading the posts and learning a lot for a few months now but have finally decided to take the plunge and start posting. I have realized that even though I haven't been back for a full week yet, I should have started this report a few days ago. Sorry about that!!! I will start posting the report as soon as I get home from picking up DS from school...about an hour from now!!! In the meantime...I will introduce you to the players!!
Myself of course- Erin 29 DH- David or Dave- 30 DS- Mikey- 7 and DD- Lillie- 4 (and a half) fractions are really important!!! This was our third Disney trip since November last year and this was our first actual extended vacation with just the four of us!!! We had a blast!!!!

Okay... Here goes...
Thursday November 16th- Started out as a normal day for the family. DH went to work, DS went to school. DD and I were left in charge of getting everything else ready for the trip. Not an extremely hard task since we had been packing and shopping all week long. We just needed to finish a few loads of laundry, grab some water from the store and have everything ready to pack the Yukon when DH got off work at 1:00 pm so we could be completey loaded and ready to go straight from DS's school at 2:00. That was the "plan". What actually happened....is a different story!  Everything started out as planned, until my Mother In law called and wanted to meet DD and I for lunch. I absolutely LOVE my MIL and we always do lunch every Thursday...(we go eat Rutabega's at a local buffet) She knew how much I had to get accomplished but wanted to go to lunch because she wanted to give the kids some spending money. So we stopped our packing and went to lunch... After lunch we make our way back to command central and continue with the feverish trip preparations. I had now manged to lose 2 hours of my day to lunch...which I really don't mind...because I do adore my MIL !!! But I still had a list of things to do! I was beginning to make headway when I realized it was time to go get Mikey form school and Lillie was asleep on the couch!  She does not EVER take a nap and hasn't in years so I knew something was not right! I called DH and he was able to get DS from school so I could finish my list!!! I was just finishing the last load of dishes and the last of the packing when the boys arrived home form work/school and Lillie had now moved to laying in the middle of the kitchen floor asleep and looking like an accident victim's chalk outline!!! I really wish I had a picture of that! It was really quite funny!WE managed to get everything loaded up and did it all without stepping on our rather grumpy, yet now awake daughter, who was lying on the kitchen floor, sobbing. For no reason except "sometimes I just needa cry mommy!" Yeah...she really said that!!! Oh the drama!!!  So we finally hit the road at 4:07 pm Central time!!! 2 hours behind schedule...but still, we managed to make it out of town before dark!!! WDW Here we come!!!!

My fear (I have a 6 yr old DD and a 9 yr old DS) would be that she was sick if she was out like that. I hope it was nothing except she wanted the cry. Can't wait to hear more.....
