Hey all, I know that I promised you a TR and I will get to it I swear, I have just ha,d so much going on trying to get caught up from being gone a week and getting my tree, etc. and the couple of times I have been able to be on the computer, I have had trouble with my pictures loading into the computer. I will do my best to get it started sometime today. I will tell you it was wonderful and magical and we loved every minute of being there!! I can't wait to share it with all of you cause I know you will appreciate al the details!!

Ok, I'm back. I finally got all the pictures loaded and all my Christmas cards are ready to go in the mail so I have left to do is wrap presents and do my Trip report. I got some presents wrapped last night , so tonight is for my TR.
The cast is: me -32
DH- 31
DD- 5 Thursday Nov. 30 - Wed. Dec. 6
Day1-The plan was to pick DD up from school and head up from there, however daddy decided to surprise her and we picked her up an hour early and we were on our way. We drove up the turnpike which wasn't all that busy and arrived at The AKL around 5 P.M. Checked in right away and headed to our room. We dropped off our overnight bags and off we went to explore this beautiful hotel.We walked around for only a few minutes before DD was saying she was hungry. We went to The Mara and had a nice little dinner outside quite close to the pool. (Also we tried the zebra domes they are yummy!!!!) After dinner, back to exploring and then DD wanted to swim in the beautiful pool so we went swimming and had a couple drinks from the poolside bar. DD had a watermelon soda YUM!! Her daddy and I had a couple of well deserved Margaritas. They were quite good too!! LOL It was already getting dark when we arrived so we got video, but my camera does not take good pictures at night so I did not get any there.Anyway, around 9:30 we decided to go back to the room and get to sleep to prepare for our long day at DTD(after we checked in to the Contemporary) on Friday!!

Day 2 - We got up pretty early . I guess we were just too excited. We got our stuff together, got ready and drove over to The Contemporary to try and get an early check in. Well, no such luck, (it was pretty early)so we leave our luggage with the bell service( it looked like we were moving in) and went to have breakfast in the food and fun center. After breakfast we explored the hotel a little and then went to our bus stop for DTD. I will continue with more tomorrow, I had it all almost written and it logged me out so I will do more tomorrow.

Okay, we've got a real trip report going. Your first night sounds WONDERFUL!

OK so where was I?
Oh yeah, day 2.
We started out at DTD at my favorite store, The Christmas Shoppe. I love this store even when it isn’t Christmas time! We got our new tree skirt and stockings. (All personalized.)
DH got the new Pirate booty one. I love it!! So after spending some time in there, DD realizes there is a candy store and runs over there and wants to get some candy. Then we take her into that everything’s Under $10 store. She loves those grab bags. It costs $7 and she got a princess journal, a pen, a keychain, a postcard of Cinderella’s Castle and one of those race cars. Not too bad. She was thrilled of course. At this point we decide to walk over to the west side and hit Disney Quest for a little bit. DH wanted to stop and get a Cuban sandwich from Bongo’s quick service but DD and I weren’t into that so we decided we would eat at Food Quest. It wasn’t quite the trip to Earl of Sandwich that I had planned on, but DH said that sandwich was excellent. We played at DQ for a little bit, but DD was getting way too anxious for her 3:30 appt. @ BBB. Note to self: from now on plan BB for in the morning, (she drove us crazy all day wanting to know if it was time yet). We headed back to the marketplace and shopped in World of Disney before her appt. I have to say whoever thought of this place is a genius!! It was packed with a lot of very happy little girls. It took about 45 minutes from start to finish and DD was smiling the entire time. She got the Belle deluxe costume and they gave her make-up and nail polish and I didn’t know she got that so it was a nice surprise. She felt very special through the whole process. They really took care of her. After we were done there, we decided it was time to go check out our hotel room, so off to the Contemporary we were!! Our room was 4335 on the 7th floor and it was awesome!!!! We had a really good view of MK, and right outside our door we could look down and see Concourse Steakhouse and Chef Mickey’s. We got settled in and got ready for our first event of the night , which was watching Wishes from our balcony at 6, followed by our dinner at Concourse. I have to say I really enjoyed this place. We had excellent service and the food was really good too. DD was getting a lot of attention for her princess look. We walked around in the shops after dinner and 2 separate CM’s in different stores there in the hotel asked her for her autograph and even had the same autograph book as her! That was pretty special. They each gave her a little certificate stating her magical experience was being princess of the day. I think she really liked that. I will try to post some of the pictures, I took tons of the room and hotel, but it keeps telling they are too big so I am gonna try to resize if I can.
