Day 1

~ left P’cola @ 5am!!
arrived @ ASMo about 1:30pm. Orlando time. there was no line at the front desk & our room was ready!! we were lucky enought to get ALL of our room requests: Toy Story building...we stayed in Woody, courtyard view...had an almost pefect view of Buzz, 3rd floor. if we had been just 2 doors down, we would have had the BEST view...but our’s was pretty darn good! :) the room was super clean and nice, there was a “mickey” towel on one of the beds to greet us. ~just what you would expect from disney!

we got settled in a bit and then headed out to check out the resort. megan enjoyed the playground for a good while...burning up some of that pinned up energy from the 8 hr. drive!! then we were off to walk about and see the other buildings. the work on the fantasia pool is in full swing. it will be beautiful when complete. totally NEW.. (no noise from the site in the early am, or after about 5pm....i noticed during our stay) but honestly...it is a bit of an eyesore for the time being. paul & i agree we want to stay in fantasia next year (jan. 2008), it’s so close to everything, and the pool is going to be
beautiful. then we hit the food court (FC) and gift shop (GS). we had a pizza ...yummy, as was everything else we had from the foodcourt during our stay, and we found the prices on the food and in the gift shop totally reasonable.

then back to the room to get some rest and head out the next moring to MK.

Day 2

megan is an early riser...so we were all up about 6:30. we got ready, ate breakfast in the FC and were on the 8am bus to MK. we got there and got our tickets and enjoyed the opening ceremony. ~ note to fl residents: the resort front desk cannot add your fl. resident tickets if bought online to your room key....have to get actual tickets at the park. i think it is because they want to be sure you are indeed a fl resident by verifying with i.d. at the park entrance on your first visit and with the fingure scan. anyway...it wasn’t a
problem, there was absolutly no line at the ticket booth....which was promising for the rest of the day!! the crowds were minimal until about 12:30....but even then not too, too bad. nothing more than a 10 minute wait in any line.

we rode: dumbo...no wait at all
cinderell’a carousel...no wait and rode it multiple times without getting off, same with small world. phiharmagic was great, not even a full house. this was more or less the same for the duration of our trip on all these rides. megan did not like peterpan...the crocodiles were too scarey....we did toontown and then tomarrowland. buzz lightyear was also too scarey for megan...this is where we realized that she doesn’t like the dark with neon colors...it’s freaks her out!!

i had her a penlight on a necklaace....but that was not comforting enough on these 2 rides...other than these 2, she had no other problems..

in toontown she LOVED the barnstormer so much!! we rode it like 5 times in a row...no wait...but had to cue up each time...didn’t just stay on. also met some of the characters.

we did adventureland and we enjoyed the jungle cruise etc. i got spit on 3 times by that darn camel!!! paul kept finding ways to “catch” me in it’s path!!! it was funny :)

we did some other stuff....got a dole whip...shopping etc.

we headed back to the bus about 5pm. and got back to the resort for dinner and baths and bed. another fun filled day to rest up for!!

day 2's highlight was meeting Chicken Little ~ megan was chick. little for halloween this year and also had him as her b'day theme.....she LOVES chicken little! :)

Day 3...

~

today's highlight.....

~we rode the teacups and at the last minute alice and the mad hatter jumped into the cup right next to us!!! they went super fast and acted very silly. the mad hater was teasing megan while we were on the ride about wanting her pom-pom off her hat for his hat. and then after the ride they ran to the "meet & greet" area just outside the ride. we followed and waited out turn in the line that was already waiting on them. when it was our turn they chatted with megan and alice played with her hair...(see photo)....so sweet and really
one of those very special momments.

~also seeing Belle was a very big deal too......megan almost started to tear up she was soooooo happy. Belle saw that and really spent a minute to hug her and talk. she asked megan what was her favorite thing so far that day and right when she asked her, mickey mouse walked past the door way and megan shouted out "there's mickey!!!!"...everyone laughed. she never did tell belle what was her fave. :)

we did MK all over again hitting our faves again & again...little to no waits in lines. wanted to stay for Wishes, but paul suggested waiting until our last night when Spectromagic would be on at 7 then Wished right after. i agreed...that would be a perfect way to end out perfect trip!!

so we headed back to ASMo about 6pm and did our eats, baths, and nite-nite routine.

Day 3 ~ our last day

today we headed out a little later than the previous days...thinking that by taking everything SLOW we would have an easier time making it to Wishes!!

we got to MK about 9:30 and once again little to no lines. we started out by riding the railroad around to toontown and meeting goofy, minnie and pluto. then we hit the barnstormer about 3 more times...i suggest to paul that it was time to try THUNDER MOUNTAIN!!!! he agreed, but we were not sure little megan would make the height requirement.

we headed over to frontierland doing whatever megan wanted to on the way. when we got there we eased up to the CM at the height stick at the enterance and she was a real sweetie...because megan was just barely "legal" !! so we were good on that! now to see...should we FAST PASS it??? or take our chances that the 30 min. suggested standing time was wrong, basing our choice on the way things had been for us (up til now)......we chose to get in line....................BIG MISTAKE!! it was a shock to us when we turned the corner of one room and found a line snaking all the way through another room!!!! it was too late to turn back now....we had stood there 20 minutes....so another 30 minutes later...we get on!!!

~okay......i must digress a bit....have to tell you all...megan was a doll in that line...she was not upset or antsy. i guess she was busy watching all the people or just taking a bit of a breather...but i was really surprised she hung in there for that long HAPPILY!! she is such a good girl.. (bragging mama...i know...but i can't help it! lol)


we all LOVED thunder mountain! we got off and got a Fast Pass...for 2 hrs. later...went and did some shopping and hit another couple of rides then had lunch at Pecos Bill's. and then wathced the 3pm parade and then headed back to Thunder Mountain. got off and fast passed it again. planned to hit it last thing before riding the RR to the front to get our spot for Spectromagic and Wishes. ~which is exactly what we did. ~ we went to tomarrowland in between and road the transit authority 2 times and then snacked our way back to frontierland for our last ride on thundermountain.

then grabbed the RR to the front of the park.

we watched Spectromagic....it was cool, but i personally enjoy the afternoon parade more.

and then WISHES!! it was beautiful....so special. we were right in the center of the square with the castle right in front of us. (next year i want to be a bit closer to the castle)

it was a perfect way to end a perfect trip......it was a memory i will forever treasure. holding megan in my arms, her ooooing and aaaaaaing and paul hugging us both. i looked at him and he had tears in his eyes and i started crying a little bit. megan was oblivous to her blubbering parents. (thank goodness) she was thrilled to see the fireworks and we all were touched by the magic of disney.
