Day 1

We left the house at 7:40a.m. It was cold and snowy. Our drive to Midway airport was uneventful, but I was bouncing up and down with all the Chicago stations talking about DA BEARS going to the SuperBowl. The airport was FILLED with people wearing Bears hats, coats, and shirts. I was already wearing my Bears jacket, but I couldn’t resist getting a hat. lil’pocahontas told me that counted as my souvenier, but I argued this point and eventually won.

We arrived in Orlando and boarded the Magical Express bus. Overall, we felt ME was done very well. DD was impressed there was a toilet on the bus. (She looks drugged or something in this photo. High on bus fumes?)

Day 1 Continued

We were to have dinner at Boma, but by the time we got to Pop Century, we only had 45 minutes to get to AKL. So we opted to eat at the food cout and go swimming (The only day warm enough).

I called WishUponAStar about our change of plans, and she told me she was at the Pirate & Princess Party. *Sigh* yet another MBuzzer stands me up. You'd think Wish & 'Bella had arranged this.

However, Wish and I chatted for a few minutes. She has a very lovely speaking voice.

Later in the week, Wish text messaged me. My first (and only TM!).

After swimming, the kids took baths. Our bathroom looked well-used.

Day 2

We started Tuesday morning at MGM. Although the park was not all that crowded, we were not in our groove. The kids chickened out of ToT at the last minute, and by the time we worked through the child swap, ToT had eaten an HOUR of our morning.

Then coming off Star Tours, we ran into Darth Vader and 2 StormTroopers. Despite the long line, this was one M&G I couldn't say "no" to. So by 11:00, we had done a total of 2 rides!

And with full bladders, we stopped by the restroom at the BackLot Tour.

Day 2 Continued

You can see the park was not crowded at all.

After taking care of business, we rode BL Tour--1st time in 5 years. Not the greatest attraction, IMO. We visited the characters on Mickey Avenue, had lunch at ?FlatBread Grill?, and played on the HISTK Playground.

Thanks for the phone call. Timing is everything. We were on our way out for the evening and as luck would have at within 1 hour of talking with you I lost my cell phone. Had you not called when you did, I would have missed it.
