Hi guys.

Thanks to everyone for reading. We had a busy day today and I won't get a chance to update the TR until tomorrow. I picked up over 200 pictures at Costco today; have to get busy putting them in the four scrapbooks that I put together before our trip!

Can't wait to read the rest of your TR. I think you have convinced me that I am not going to plan too much during our trip in July. Too hot to worry about getting here and there at certain times.

Still waiting to hear about your trip home. Sorry the kids are ill. My dh is ill right now. He is sometimes worse than the kids.

Here are the notes for day 2 direct from my passporter:

The weather today was cool at first, then sunny.

The best thing today was enjoying the beautiful weather at Animal Kingdom.

The worst thing today was finding out that the ILs didn't realize they were supposed to be keeping an eye on Grace.

The funniest thing today was Grace playing Hide and Seek with Mickey.

Today we tried Expedition Everest and the result was I went on it using FP three times in a row!

The most magical moment today was how much Kate loved meeting Mickey Mouse!

Now, onto our very best day!

Monday, January 29 - Day 3

The plan for today was originally getting to Downtown Disney for opening at 9:30, enjoying shopping and having an early lunch at the Earl of Sandwich, then the girls’ Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique appointment at 1 p.m. This was to be followed by a rest back at BCV, then dinner at Cape May Café, and the Pirate & Princess Party for the girls and me into the wee hours of the morning. Did all go as planned? No, things went better than planned! Read on.

We slept in a bit and took our time getting ready. I was ready first, so I headed down to the Cape May Café to see if there was any way our large group could get in for breakfast this morning. Having heard all about the horror stories of not making your ADRs ahead of time, I was concerned that we might not get in. I shouldn’t have been. The CM at the podium, Barbara, was ready to seat us right then! I had to tell her that we weren’t quite ready yet, so she said to come on back when we were ready.

I went upstairs to hurry the troops, and we were back down by about 10:15 a.m. They gave us our pager, and the girls sat down to color while we waited.

Here are Kate and Grace. Kate loves to color; in fact, she can often be found with a crayon in both hands! As you can see, she has left-handed tendencies. She's our fourth child, and our family's only lefty, which is interesting because my brother (the fourth child) is a lefty, too. Is it a fourth child thing?

It wasn’t long before we were seated. We had a lovely server who had just come from China in the past couple of months. She took good care of us. I think her name was Sui Chin. She had a lovely smile and seemed to get a kick out of our kids. The girls and I went to wash our hands, and when we got back, we selected some food for them from the bountiful buffet. This included the famous Mickey waffles, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, delicious cheese blintzes with fruit sauce (strawberry? I can’t recall), some sort of egg dish (with salsa; I passed on that) and lots of sweet rolls, including a yummy chocolate croissant.

After filling their plates, I went back up to the buffet to get some food for me (moms always feed their kids first, you know...) and when I got back, who should be at our table but Miss Minnie herself! My dh was freaking out, because I'm usually behind the camera, but he didn't want to miss this moment so he was frantically trying to figure it out. (Some of the best photos from this trip were taken by him, by the way. I'll give him proper recognition when they're his pics.) He took this one of the girls with Minnie.

We remembered the autograph books this time. Here is Grace getting Minnie's autograph. Notice I'm in my rightful place behind the camera again.

Christian looks pretty happy to meet Minnie. I felt badly, though, because I forgot to make a page for her in his book! She had to sign on the Storybook Friends page. Sorry, Minnie! By the way, dh took this one, too.
