Back from a GREAT weekend
Day 1 - Friday - Checked into AS Sports, and was overwhelmed by the crowds of people. There were bus loads of Kids! There were Soccer teams, Basketball teams, and girls softball teams, there were kids everywhere, and they were not quiet. There were kids running the walkways most the weekend.
We are AP holders, and because of the crowds of people, the parks were not a priority. We did a quick dinner at the resort, and then just wandered around. Day 2 - Saturday - We went to Fort Wilderness, Trails End, for breakfast. We enjoy it there because it's quiet. The food was great as usual, and Ken our server was the tops. We hung out at the campground, then visited the Wilderness Lodge and Contemporary. Watched Para-sailing. Enjoyed the boat ride. Back to our room for a nap (we went to rest) We went to Old Town and walked around there, in and out of shops (During the day it's not as crowded as the evening). We had a PS for Boma. As usual we enjoyed it. It was crowded, but still good. After Boma, we went to the Boardwalk and caught several acts by the Jugglers, clowns, and "Carlo" then headed back to the room. Day 3 - Easter Sunday - Got up early and headed out of Disney to church. came back to catch a quick lunch at our resort, then headed to DTD. It rained lightly, but we didn't mind. We wandered DTD then headed back to our room for another nap (that resting thing again) We had PS for Ohana. It was great, our first time (we will go back :D ) we saw the water parade from our table. we did "once around" on the monorail, then headed back to the Poly beach for the fireworks. Day 4 - Today- Monday. Up early, back home  A couple notes - 1. when we checked in,we asked for a printed confirmation of our PS. We were also able to get a earlier time for our PS on Sunday. We presented the printed confirmation and were seated quickly. ( a DC suggestion) 2. we showed up for our PS early (45 minutes) and lucked out with early seating (both nights ) ( another DC suggestion)3. :( not much was done when we complained about the kids running and yelling at 2 am. They were loud, and it sounded like herds of elephants. Parents had pulled chairs out of the rooms and were loudly enjoying themselves finally a CM showed up and spoke to the adults, who brushed him off, and continued to party. It finally quieted down about 3:30 am:cry: (Thank goodness for our naps) 4. The people who stayed at AS Movies were out of luck on the busses. They were the last stop, and crammed on like sardines. WDW should look at changing the bus situation at peak times. In the words of my DH "we spent the weekend eating our way through WDW" Next trip October

Thanks for the report - Since I'll be staying at the sister resort, ASMu - I'm really beginning to regret that choice. The main point of my trip is just to relax, also, with the parks a third priorty. Was the place quiet at least during the day? And would you suggest a top floor room to avoid hearing the heard of elephants? :-)

Thank goodness for those naps, wow I give you credit for putting up with that. I could have never made it through the nights.
Sounds like a great weekend, and I like your saying that you spent the weekend eating through WDW.:)

we were on the top floor, so I don't know if that contributed to the noise. It may have been the holiday/Spring break that had all those teams there. We stayed at ASM in Feb. and the noise level wasn't as bad (but again there were teams of kids all over). All Stars was nice but I will stick to a moderate hotel with a code during off-peak times for my next trip.

I have to agree with you on the noise level at the AS Resorts. I can't understand why parents allow their kids to run around at all hours of the night. We only stayed there once & will never stay again.
Off to the Coronado in May!!! Hope for quiet.!! At least at 2am.. I know, we even had trouble at the AKL when it first opened. Parents just let there kids run & scream down the hallways at 6am. I'm an early riser, but you have to respect others.!!! So, when we do go back to the AKL we always request a room past the elevators. It does help a little. I know, you are not there to sleep, but after a busy day at the parks, you sometimes just want to get a good nights sleep. Unfortunately, I am a light sleeper. But for some reason, we just keep going back!!! JOANN:)
