Thank you, we staked out that spot about 90 minutes before the fireworks started but ya know a few slushies, a box of popcorn, and making friends with families around you makes that time go by like nothing

Wishy, silly question but were the soaps the same as last year. They look different but they were so tiny in your bathroom picture that I couldn't really tell. Were they GC soaps or do you think they have the same ones at DHL.

I'm trying to plan ahead and figure out how to get a collection of them in my carry on without TSA throwing a big ol' hissy fit. DH said we had to travel light this time because there was no way he was going to deal with LAX baggage claim.

I am about 90% sure they are the same as when I stayed at DLH last year. I do believe the Grand Californian gave us hand soap for the sink and a body bar for the shower. They weren't big or anything but it lasted us a couple days and when they come to clean the room they refill them anyway. You should be fine.

We've done that, too.

btw...I showed my DH your pics (he's a photography nut) and he wants that little gorillapod! I think we'll be getting one this week.
