LOL, this is our second trip without him. He gets way to busy with work in the summer. He really loves Disney too, but someones gotta support my addiction I'll try to post some more either later tonight or tomorrow. We're heading to some fireworks now. Don't worry-we know all the words to Wishes and will be singing it!!!

Re: Laurens Wonderfully Relaxing Trip to the World!
Day Two. Tuesday, June 19th.
We had a lovely phone call at 7 a.m. Stich was wreaking havoc in the MK. Well, we're off to save the day!!!! We got to the MK parking lot by 7:45. Just a little FYI....the ferry does not run until 9:00. Got it? Cause I just saved you about 300 steps. Steps I wish I myself had not walked. So, off to the monorail. Where they packed us in like sardines, before opening the front half of the monorail. So we got to stand. No problem, it's a quick jaunt over, right??? Wrong. Of course, they were doing some sort of testing/loading/blah, blah, blah with the monorail. We were sitting in the sky for quite some time. Oh, that's right. We weren't sitting. I'm sure the people who were really enjoyed the view of my back side. Anyways, we heard the whole spiel about how this might be a good time to pick a meeting place with your party should you get lost or seperated. So, we picked one. NO, not in front of the castle. Everybody meets there. We picked in front of the Indy 500. But the conversation went something like this....."if we get seperated, meet at the race cars". "got it"....."ok, except we're not getting seperated, right?" "right" "There's only 3 of us, there is no need to go somewhere without one another, right?" "right" Ok. Plan in motion-do NOT get seperated. Ahhhhhh..............and there it is.........the castle. But not before we head into the Main Street Bakery for some HUGE oversized bakery breakfast!!! My Lord, the size of everything in there is bigger than the circumfrence of my face!! I've never eaten in there before. OMG, I couldn't believe how big all the food was! So, we waddled on over to the Indy 500, Where as always, I blew the competition away. ![]() We rodeSnow Whites Scary Adventure. Sorry, everytime I go on this ride I can't help but think of the comments in the "Unofficial Guide" Here it is..."My daughter screamed the whole time and was shot for the day, Grampa kept asking, "Where in the **** is Snow White". " Really, the whole ride through I laugh thinking of this comment! I think I can just envision it happening in my family. We head on over to Frontierland, where we grabbed a FP for Splash, then rode BTMRR. ![]() After that we decided to take a cruise through the jungle. We head over to a monsterous line!!! It said 20 minutes, but I wasn't buying it. While we were deciding what to do, there was a CM who was keeping a squirrell away from the guests. It looked to have something neurological going on. It was running in circles almost involuntarily, dragging its hind end. Our guess was maybe someone in an EVC didn't see it and ran over a leg? Anyhow, we saw the poor little guy get picked up by critter control. This becomes important for later on in the TR. We decide to head over to Tomorrowland, via the ladies room. While we're in there I was trying to explain to Devyn the value of EMH and FP's. She wanted to just get in line and wait for Splash. I tried to tell her that we needed to make the most of our time before loads of other people got there. Well, while we were discussing this, a very nice lady heard us and asked if we wanted her FP to Buzz. She only had one though. Sure!! Devyn would love it!!! So, off to Buzz it was. Where Mom and I sent her happily into the FP line. Told her we'd meet her over where it get's over. Off we go, off she goes. We wait. And wait. Mom looks at me. I look at Mom. How long has it been? Oh, 5 minutes. Hmmm.... So much for there being NO NEED to seperate. Very smart adults the 9 year old took with her to Disney World. Anyways, off she comes. Phew. We were just getting ready to head over to the designated meeting spot too. On our way out, that evil Zurg captured my Mom!!! Oh NO!!! ![]() We saw my favorite, CoP!!!! My Mom had never seen it, so I was so happy she got to!! She loved it too! Time for our FP, we're off to watch that clever Brer' Rabbit outsmart that silly Brer' Fox again!! It just never gets old!! Of course, before we got on, we grabbed another FP for later! We then did something new and visited Monsters Inc. Laugh Club. It was great!!! We loved it. Especially Devyn, she just lives for that silly kind of humor! ![]() We decide to wrap things up at the MK, so we use our Splash FP and then take the train from Frontier Land to the front of the park.

Re: Laurens Wonderfully Relaxing Trip to the World!
So, all that ridin' and walkin' got us mighty hungry. We take a whirl over to the Beach Club. Ahhhhhh....my favorite place! We head down to Beaches and Cream, where we are seated in the same exact spot as in February!! The table behind us was having the kitchen sink. Unfortunately all we saw of it was the kitchen sink!!! I would have loved to see that baby full!
While we were waiting for our lunch, we had a nice chat with Larry who was from Lowell, MA and Susan who was from NH. They were both super nice, and supper happy to be living in Florida. Mom and I had a cheesburger, a friend on another board told me they had the best burgers in WDW-she was right. Definitely the best on WDW property!! Devyn had the steak sandwich. We all left happy, with full bellies. We went back to the resort, where we decided to check out the "main" pool. We enjoyed it for over 2 hours!! Devyn and I went on the slide. It was pretty fast! We then went back to the room for some nice, down, out of the sun time. ![]() ![]() We decide to take the bus to DTD. Bus. It'll be quick, right? I mean, I could swim over there. Uh. Not so much. There were several times while we were waiting for the bus at the hotel, that I thought about getting the car. Devyn loves the bus almost as much as she loves Splash Mountain, so I held my thoughts and waited. And waited. And waited. When it finally came, it was jam-full with people. We then proceeded to make another stop at SSR (I think it was an internal one-dropping people off at the pool area) and head on out to DTD. We were crammed on there tight. There was a young boy (10-11) who was messing around everytime we went around a corner, over exagerating the turns. Well, the darling liked to step on my toes. Alot. Ouch. Ah, well....it's only day two. So we get to DTD and the main plan was to buy some starter pins at WOD, so I could use our AP discount. Apparently the ones I bought before on e-bay were "lost" Ahem. I think she just liked them to much. Well, 8 pins, a lanyard and $70 later we were official. Pin Traders Extrodinaire. Then we went into Basin. Last time, I had wanted to try some bath bombs, but never remembered to buy them when we were there. Well, with no hubby around it made it easier to shop at a "girls" store (in his opinion-we did see a very funny man trying some of the different scents....what was funny about him was the faces he was making after trying something) anyways....so girls, I've seen you post about Basin. I've heard you chat about it. But, OMG.....I'm now in LOVE with that store!!! We bought bath bombs, body butter, sea salts. Ahhh....the works. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, the body butter. This time around, I got the one that smells like coconut. But, this would not be our only trip there!!! So, over to Ghiradellis for a milk shake, because I think it may be against the law to visit DTD without getting one. Not sure, just what I heard We make the long journey from the bus back to SSR, honestly I walked around the World last night quicker!! We drive over to the food court where we get a light dinner of chicken fingers and flat bread pizza. I called Shannon to wish him sweet dreams, and he asked me if I had heard from Jill (my boss). I said no, why? He was like are you sure, nothing got delivered to your room? I was pretty sure, that unless he meant the balloons and card from Mickey nothing had been delivered. (I told you that Lauren from the front desk rocked!!) He said, Laur, call the front desk....you were supposed to get something. YAY!!! I love getting something!!! I wonder what it is???? I call the front desk and ask if anything was waiting for me. The girl said she had no notes in the computer, nor anything right there. She asked that I give her a second to check in the back. It was almost as long as the wait for the bus BUT...it was worth it!!! She came back and let me know that there was, indeed an envelope for me in her managers safe. An envelope??? In a safe?? For me??? Woo Hoo!!! Oh, I hope it's not a bill. She said she would send someone over....oh what could it be??? It was two gift certificates to the spa!!!! Devyn had been looking through the spa brochure in the room and had actually asked if she could have a massage. I was like "are you crazy, kid??....you're 9!" So now we just have to figure out when to fit it in. Friday afternoon would be ideal, hopefully they will have an appointment-but we have to wait until the morning as it had already closed. Off to bed so we can be onto day 3!!! ![]()

Re: Laurens Wonderfully Relaxing Trip to the World!
I
Hate Stich. Ok, really. It's not the wake up call I mind. It's that SHREIKING in my ear. I miss Mickey calling me each morning, bright and cheery, telling me to have a great day. Anyways, today is Animal Kingdom Day. We are there promptly at 8a.m. and head over to EE, which already has quite the line formed. Again, it has not opened at opening. Anyone know why? That makes three times we've been at AK for opening, and it's never once been ready. We grab our FP's for later and went over to grab some breakfast at the Tusker House. Devyn and I shared a breakfast platter, and my Mom had her own. One of our "must do's" this trip was Rafiki's Planet Watch. Devyn doesn't remember doing this before, and we had only done it once, so off to the train we went! I love seeing all the backstage areas they have. It's really cool to try to imagine as well how the animals each get out to their habitat's. Once we arrived at Rafiki's the *hope* was we'd be able to witness a surgery. Well, it was our lucky day!! Not a surgery, per say, but a quarrantine exam on 4 fruit bats, also known as the Flying Fox. Those guys are pretty big!!! Well, for bats anyways!! They are actually the largest bats known. While we were waiting for them to bring the bat in, the very nice CM was talking and talking giving information. She told us all that any injured or sick animal found on WDW property was brought to them at AK. When she took questions, we asked about the squirrell found at MK the day before. Yes, she told us, a squirrell had been brought in. This was all she volunteered, so I didn't ask any more. I'm thinking the little guys outlook wasn't so positive. We poked around a bit more, went into the petting zoo, or should I say the goat area?? And head back over to Africa, via another train ride. Once we returned, it was time for our EE passes. On our way by, we grabbed some for Kali River Rapids as well. We narrowly escaped the Yeti, and decided to try to Find Nemo. Well, apparently so had EVERYONE else in the park. There were sadly, no more seats. And, yes.....we did arrive early. Not early enough though. To buy some time, we shopped a while. It was so hot, we were all feeling kind of worn down at this point. We decide to do our FP at Kali, and get in line at Nemo even earlier, then we would call it a morning and head back to the resort. So, over to Kali we go. We got SOAKED to the bone!! I had to wring out my shorts!!! It was nasty.....lol! We decided to forgo Nemo and head back to the hotel. LOL!! I've actually never gotten that wet on the ride before. It was super hot, so it actually was great!!! Except of course, the walk to the front of the park. Yuck!! ![]()
