I am pretty exhausted!! it was such a great trip, we had so many wonderful memories, and the girls were so thrilled!! I am trying to not get bummed that we won't be there next year - just gonna focus on the year after that --- maybe a disney cruise?!

so, after lunch friday at rainforest cafe, we shopped (well....looked, we didn't want to buy everything our 1st day, so we just picked out stuff we were thinking about, and of course ended up with most of it by the end of the week).

we headed back to the bus stop (which was kinda long walk, as the marketplace bus stop was closed), hopped on bus to POP and went for a swim. I had brought floaties for the girls, not realizing/noticing in other threads that POP offers free life vests for kids to use while there. that was nice perk!!

We ordered pizza (deep dish) and wings (dry for my taste) from Giordannos (i think, I have to ask DH for sure, we considered several). it was the thickest, cheesiest pizza I have even had!! and there was a lot of cheese, did I mention that? sorry, no pics, i guess i forgot!

Then we got showered and dressed and hopped on bus to MK, then monorail to grand Floridian for our photopass shoot. I had prepaid for the CD, and we booked this photo shoot before we left. It's free, if you buy the CD then or have pre-paid for it & can show your proof of purchase. We went to 5 or 6 different locations around the resort and had AWESOME pics taken. I can't wait for the cd so I can show you all!! It only took about 20 minutes and was fun!!

then we headed back to POP (of course, there is no direct way home from there, so a transferring we will go...) and crashed!!

it was just available at grand floridian. I bet if its popular they'll offer it other places as well someday. it was a lot of fun! and, yes, it was free with purchase of cd - either prepurchase or buy it then and there.

Saturday - we got a wake up call and were up and ready in no time, waited for a bus no more than 15 minutes or so & we at MK well before rope drop! we had a great morning - got Ariels autograph (she's the girls' favorite) & got all the fantasyland rides in before lunch at Caseys.

after lunch we did Pirates, alladin, jungle cruise, train ride to Toontown to do goofy's barnstormer. of course we got autographs along the way!! We found Rafiki and Timon (hadn't seen them before), Captain Hook and Mr Smee. I can't remember if there more that day!

we hoped on a boat to wilderness lodge for our ADR at Whispering Canyon. we waited about 20 minutes (after our reservation time) to be seated. OUr server wasn't in a fun mood I guess. She wasn't a good server at all, actually. She took forever bringing drinks, took even longer for more of the things on our skillets, just overall not great!

The girls rode ponies and did the ketchup thing (they had fun)!

Mark & I both got the skillet. It was good. the salad was crisp, good refreshing dressing (apple vinagrette).


I really enjoyed the pulled pork and mashed potatoes the most. The beans are kinda spicy, not too much, but if you aren't prepared for it, it's spicier than I am used to for baked beans. The shrimp were good, better if they hadn't been cold...but tasty. Ribs and turkey or chicken maybe were on there too, I think. It's getting fuzzy! they were good too.


The girls got mac & cheese (emma's favorite food) & a hamburger. Maia didn't like her hamburger, but Mark tasted it and said it was good. It is served plain, by the way, and she asked for fries to go with it.

Evidently I forgot to take pics of theirs and the desserts. We were so full and so tired we asked to take our desserts home with us. The girls got chocolate chip cookies, Mark got the Apple cobbler (no ice cream) and I got the chocolate cake. They were very good desserts later in the room!!

We finished in time for the fireworks, but were all so tired, we just hoped on the bus (after the boat) and went back to the resort. Tomorrow is epcot - our favorite!!

I forgot to mention, we also got the milkshakes - all of us!! it was included in the dining plan & refillable! Maia had cotton candy, Emma had strawberry, Mark had chocolate and I had carmel. In the interest of better reporting, I got a refill with vanilla.

the carmel was fantastic!! I really want another one now. Vanilla was nothing special. Strawberry and chocolate both very, very good. Cotton candy....well....kinda sugary, but pretty good actually!!
