then we went back to MK to hop a bus to POP. Later that night I had the munchies, so we got a tie died cheesecake. it was pretty good - cakey on the bottom, which was not what i was expecting.

Next day was Wednesday - Animal Kingdom and Boma!!

We decided to sleep in a bit, and got to AK around 10ish. We did have quite a wait for a bus this time (never more than 1/2 hour the whole time tho).

We ran to get FP for Everest - it was the only MUST DO for the whole day. we missed it last time, just ran out of time and didn't get back for our fast passes before we were just too hot and tired to want to do it. so this time...i HAD to do it!

we did its tough to be a bug (cute, not what i expected, not sure what I expected though). THe girls (who we like to say are wusses) were actually ok in it!

we decided we wanted to try pepper market for lunch, and hopped a bus to coronado. It was good, i had the special fish tacos, they were very good. DH had a wet burrito I think, which he enjoyed. DD's had pasta and chicken fingers. we had pecan roll and apple turnover for dessert. they were pretty good, nothing to jump and down about.

THen we hopped back on a bus to AK. DId I mention the torrential downpour during lunch? so glad we decided to go out of AK for lunch - somewhere dry!!

we got back to AK and went to do Everest. DH went 1st and loved it! then, it started thundering and they shut the ride down. Lightening had been spotted in the area. I was just one group away from boarding. i waited in line for about 20 minutes, then gave up.

We did Dinosaur (taking turns, DD's would have been a wreck) and the girls did the dinosaur kiddy thing (ack, what's it called?). we also got to see the dinosaurs and get their pics!






Then it was time for the nemo show. we walked right in, had no trouble finding seats at all. We weren't too impresed. the girls thought it was ok, but actually wanted to go do something else midway thru.

so....we left. I know, i know...its a favorite of many people. just not what we were in the mood for i guess. DH took the girls to get a spot for the parade as it starts in 15 minutes at this point. I ran to Everest to see if i can get on (still had my FP from 1st try).

I walked right on - in the fast pass line! it was sooo awesome!! I felt so much better now that my AK goal had been met!!

Ohhh I love the Princess picture!! How fun for them!! You said you have never seen Belle in her yellow dress before, which is just the opposite for us- we have ALWAYS seen her in her yellow dress!

I am glad the meal at Ohana was good, but I know what you mean about the server. We have had both kinds of servers, the ones who truly like to do what they are doing, and the others that are just going through the motions.

Oh, and the kiddy dinosaur ride is Triceratop spin, I believe. :)

ok, it's been a crazy week (sicknesses) but i am ready to post some more, if you all are still interested!!


i think i left off with animal kingdom....

we saw the parade and took tons of pics (we missed the parade last year). it was cute..not fantastic, but cute.

we did the safari, and rode EE 2 more times each! we spent quite a bit of time in stores waiting for the rain to stop - it was torrential!!

then we decided to go ahead on go to AKL for our Boma adr.

we were tired and wet, so i think that may have played a part in our boma experience. plus we had to wait 20+ minutes after our adr time. i was hungry!!

we weren't overly impressed with boma. it was good (especially the desserts and the carrot ginger soup), but nothing that made me say "we must go back every time"! i'd definitely go again, just not as a must do type of place.

Desserts were all amazing!! Emma passed out, and didn't even get to see the birthday cupcake the server brought them! He boxed it and we took it back to the room to let her have a bite later!!

Looking back at the pics, there were a lot of delicious foods at boma - we really liked the hummus, and salad dressings! just not a must do next time. of course, i wouldn't say no to it!!

so, the next day was Epcot (thursday, our 2nd day at epcot). it was the day before the food and wine festival was supposed to start, but almost all of the booths were up.

we rode some rides, met some characters, and then rushed over to Norway for lunch at Akershus. It was our 1st time there & the girls didn't know we were eating there. They didn't know there would be princesses there until we got inside!

here is our food - i had the BBQ (it was just ok), DH had the meatball (it was good, not great), DD's had pizza (great) and hot dog (good) & we had lots from the coldbar & salad bar (pretty good). overall, we weren't thrilled with the meal. The desserts were phenominal though! our server was nice, she even brought DH a card with the rice cream recipe on it!

so, we were excited to see which princesses would be at Akershus!! Belle was there when we went in (we didn't buy the photo they tried to see us, mine was cute too so didn't see the need to spend that much extra).

I must say I was shocked at the princesses. I had heard it is usually Aurora, Jasmine, Mulan. SOmetimes mary poppins. Seldom Cinderella and sometimes Ariel in human form.


we had Jasmine, Aurora, Cinderella and Ariel in human form. Aurora was pretty, cinderella was pretty (kinda) but Jasmine and Ariel ! I'm sorry, but those two shouldn't be allowed to be princesses. We were joking (dh and i) that ariel needs to go back under water!! My pics don't look too great resized...but What do you guys think?
